A lake of silver water wavered slowly over everyone's heads. A wolf shouted, "Everyone! Hurry and build a sheild! This is going to get dangerous!" The wolves immediately started making a shield out of water, and Bootstrap said, "Silver Water. Or as you people call it, "steel water". Though I do doubt that it's as strong as steel." Lark said, "Then you underestimate the power of the Water Wolf Clan."
Lark howled once again, and the silver waves came crashing down, making a crater in the earth. Lark shouted, "Prepare for your fate, Bootstrap!" The silver water started quickly moving towards Bootstrap, and before he could dodge, the waves became too big for him to avoid. The waves crashed onto Bootstrap, and a scream of pain echoed throughout the battlefield. Lark felt a sudden sting of pain in his chest.
He had forgotten the consequences of using Steel Water. To get rid of it, he had to use his life force to solidify it. However, there was no way he was going to let Bootstrap back out. Then he heard Pandora shout, "Lark! Please don't do it!" Lark looked over at Pandora who was now free from the chains. He shouted, "I have to!" Pandora ran to Lark's side and bit his ear while saying, "Stop it!" Lark shouted, "I can't! It's already too late.."
Pandora let go of his ear and said, "Lark... why are you doing this for me? You should've just saved yourself!" Lark looked at her and said, "I can't just leave you behind. I care about you too much." Pandora's eyes widened as she said, "You don't mean-" Lark smiled and said, "I love you Pandora." Before either one of them to react, Lark's body immediately froze into a silver statue, and the Steel Water froze in place as well.
Pandora shouted, "No wait! Please! Lark!" The clone that everyone else was fighting disappeared. The wolves immediately knew that the Steel Water worked, so they started sobbing. Milo didn't know what was going on until he saw Pandora and Lark in the distance. The barrier started to fade away, and Milo felt his power return. Slowly, each of the wolves started to howl. It seemed like the melancholy harmony echoed throughout the world.
Pandora cried, "I love you too Lark! So much!" She then passed out, and the wolves immediately rushed to her.
Later after that, some of them started healing the wounded, and burying the dead. Others were sent to tell the wolves that stayed behind about the battle, and more came to help with the wounded. Milo carried Lark back to the city, and another wolf carried Pandora back as well. While the others were in the battle, the wolves that stayed took all of the water out of the underground city, and cleaned up the mess.
The lights were overwhelmingly bright for Blaze. He had been out for a while, and now he was in a place he didn't recognize. Suddenly, he was in agonizing pain. His head was spinning, and his head felt like it was hit by a giant rock. Then he saw something. He saw Bootstrap as a smaller hyena in front of a strange, yet familiar figure. "Take this power, and eliminate! Eliminate all!" Blaze screamed, and it was over.
A couple wolves came in and one said, "Master Blaze! Are you alright?" Blaze shook his head and looked at the wolves. He said, "I'm... fine." The other wolf said, "You missed a lot, but I think you aren't mentally prepared to-" Blaze immediately stood up and ran past the wolves. When he ran out, he saw that he was in the underground city. There was no more water flooding the city, and the lights were back on.
He looked to his right and saw more miniature rooms like the one he was in. In one of them, there was a loud growling with chains rattling. He wanted to go investigate, but one of the wolves that went to check on him pinned him down. The wolf said, "It's dangerous in there. A wolf almost died going into that room. Let's get you grouped up with the others." The wolf got off of Blaze, and said, "Follow me." Blaze scoffed and followed the wolf through the city.
It was nice, and it kind of reminded him of home. Cubs were playing in the streets, and other wolves were having their own fun. Soon, he and the wolf arrived at a small building. They entered, and he saw Milo sitting in front of a silvery statue of a wolf that looked familiar. Milo looked at Blaze and gasped. He shouted, "Blaze! You're alive!" Blaze said, "Yeah I'm alive. I think the wolves saved me." Milo smiled, but returned to his gloomy state as he looked back at the statue.
Blaze sat next to Milo and said, "Say, that statue looks familiar. Where is he anyway?" Milo looked worried for a second, but he said, "...That is him." Blaze immediately looked at the statue and said, "But... he said that he would never use it!" Milo looked down and said, "Bootstrap became too powerful. He had to use it to trap him." The tips of Blaze's ears immediately burst into flames, but he didn't feel anger. Instead, he felt an overwhelming sadness.
He quickly looked back at Milo and said, "What about Kole!? And Ice! And Pandora!" Milo said, "They're fine. Ice is in a coma, and Pandora is still being healed. Kole however... he got the Mad Flu from Bootstrap." Blaze immediately stood up and said, "Let me see him. I need to talk to him!"
