In Blacksmith's den, Kole was laying down on the bed next to Blacksmith's. Blacksmith still hasn't left the school, so Kole was alone. Kole looked out the window, hoping to see his stepfather, but no one was there. Suddenly, there was an explosion. Kole quickly got up and looked outside.
It was the everlasting fire! The fire was spreading throughout the town, causing chaos. The animals with water powers tried to keep it back, but it kept rising in power. Kole tried to run away, but he saw something ghostlike front of the raging flames. It was an angry spirit that was looking for something. Kole ran outside saying, "Wait! Stop using your powers! It's not working!"
All of animals stopped using their powers and looked at Kole. He walked in front of the fire and a voice yelled, "Are you crazy!?" Kole didn't listen. He just closed his eyes, and he saw his stepfather. "D-dad?" Kole said. The angry spirit looked down at Kole, and became passive. Outside of Kole's mind, the fire was dying down. Kole's stepfather whispered, "There... you are... I... I thought you died..."
Kole said, "Yes. I'm alive..." Kole's stepfather said, "Your mother killed me.... I'm... sad... but why are you so small? You were a teenager the last time I saw you..." Kole said, "Others are saying that she put a curse on me..." Then Kole's stepfather whispered, "I can help... with my memories... you will be turned into a teen again. Have... my soul, and always remember me..."
Then Kole's stepfather dissapeared. Kole opened his eyes, and everyone around him started cheering, howling, or clapping. Blacksmith came running to Kole and said, "How did you do that!?" Kole said, "U-um..." He turned to Mr. Nafario and he nodded. Kole turned back to Blacksmith and said, "I'm... a Soul Catcher." Blacksmith said, "Wait... is it like a Snatcher?"
Kole said, "N-no... I don't really know what a Soul Catcher is." Blacksmith said, "Phew... I thought it was a person that stole souls- wait what!?" Mr. Nafario said, "You should go home Kole. We can start tomorrow morning instead." Kole said, "Thank you Mr. Nafario. I'll be at school tomorrow!" Blacksmith picked up Kole and walked home. He placed Kole on his bed and said, "You can sleep here if you want. I still have a meeting with Mr. Nafario."
Kole said, "Ok... see you tomorrow." Blacksmith slowly nodded and walked out. When Kole closed his eyes, he had a strange feeling like something was changing.
The next morning, Kole woke up to see Blacksmith with his jaw dropped. Kole squinted his eyes and said, "What...?" Blacksmith said, "You... how did you grow like this overnight!?"
Kole looked at one of his paws and saw that it was bigger. Kole got off the bed, and he felt taller. He ran to a mirror and saw himself, but older. Kole said, "Dad was right! He made me older!" Blacksmith said, "What in the world are you talking about?" Kole chuckled and said, "It's hard to explain... oh! I have to go to school!" Blacksmith sat down and said, "Alright. But you better tell me the whole story when you get home."
Kole said, "Alright fine. See you later!" Then Kole ran outside and quickly got to the magic school. He peeked inside and saw nobody but Mr. Nafario. Kole walked inside and said, "Uh... hi." Mr. Nafario looked up and said, "Kole? How did you grow?" Kole said, "Uh... I-" Mr. Nafario said, "That doesn't matter. Anyway, good job on coming here. Come with me."
Kole followed Mr. Nafario to a big double door. When Mr. Nafario opened the doors, it was like a new world. It looked like the plains, but there was nothing there. Kole followed Mr. Nafario into the plains, and someone said, "Welcome to the Old Plains!" Kole looked to his right and saw a wolf with a fluffy, blue robe on. Kole looked to his right and he saw a fox with red rags an and a bear with a green robe on.
Another voice said, "Welcome young one. I'm glad I get to meet you." Kole quickly looked in front and saw a lion with a white robe on. "My name is Edward. Do you know who I am?" Kole shook his head and Edward said, "Silly cheetah. However, I'm not surprised. It's time for you to meet the masters of elements." The animals he saw earlier walked to Edward and sat next to him.
The fox in a angered tone said, "My name is Blaze." The bear in a calm voice said, "My name is Forest." The wolf said, "My name is Lark." Kole said, "My name is Kole. It's nice to meet you all." Lark said, "It's time for us to teach you the elements of the world."
