"I saw Matthew for the first time in an arcade, he was just 18 back then", she had a smile on her face as she talked, "I remember how happy he was while playing shooting game. Funniest thing is that he was shorter than me but when I saw him after two months, he was already 6 ft and looked more mature". She paused for a while, Alex still looking at her attentively.
"I was very happy that day, I remember that I almost teared up", she chuckled.
Alex: I understand, I know how much you wanted a sibling.
Melissa: Yeah, but whenever I met you I was glad I didn't have an annoying brother like you.
Melissa replied jokingly.
Alex burst into a laugh, "Well thank god I don't have a stupid sister!"
Melissa: Heyyy!
They were sharing heartfelt anecdotes of their past when someone knocked on the door. Cindy tilted her head and with a smile she asked, "May I come in?"
"Hello Miss Menstruation! Of course you can come in!", Melissa said as she laughed.
Cindy: IT WAS ONE MISTAKE!!
Alex was trying to hold his laugh but failed, as soon as Cindy spoke up. Seeing his reaction Melissa burst into a hysterical laugh.
Cindy: You two are causing a ruckus here!!
Melissa: Just like the whole class was that day! Hahaha!
Cindy: I mixed it up! Come onnn! They sound almost same!
Alex: Mr.Finlay's reaction was iconic, that disappointing look he gave you.
"It's Men-SU-ration, Anderson. We are not in biology class", imitated Melissa.
Cindy: Then I proceeded to score the lowest in his test as well, oh my god like you don't have to complain to my dad!
Melissa: But your dad was cool with it.
Cindy: Why wouldn't he be, he mocked me for two months!
Melissa sighed, "Ahhh I miss him, he was so fun to hangout with".
Alex: I miss him as well.
They all fell silent all of a sudden. Trying to break it Melissa came up with the weirdest game, the game they used to play when they were kids.
Melissa: Let's see whose laugh is worse!
Cindy and Alex replied simultaneously, "No", with a cringed expression.
Melissa pouted, "Boring couple".
They both looked away when their eyes met, their face red as tomato.
Seeing them like this Melissa chuckled, "three of us are in the same room after a long time".
Cindy: Weren't we in my bedroom together when I colla-
Melissa: shutup.
Cindy pouted, "no more hot chocolate for you!"
Melissa: woah woah woah! Never take any decision when you're angry. It always turns out to be the worst decision.
"Oh really?", Cindy smirked.
Melissa nodded obediently.
Alex: Another conversation which only you two get.
Melissa: Where's your kids?
Cindy: They are playing in the room, oh by the way can you call Matthew? He isn't picking up my phone.
Hearing his name Alex's face changed a bit, "Didn't he come to see you?"
