While two people's heart were mending, it wasn't same outside the room. Matthew stopped in his step and stood outside the door when he saw them together. The longer it got, the more it broke his heart. No matter how much you love someone, if they already have someone in their heart, they can never fall for you. He realized, he was nothing but just a bystander.
Matthew at first went to Olivia thinking Cindy would be there but he just found Olivia sleeping alone. When Melissa saw him outside Olivia's room, she told him Cindy was with Alex. He was surprised when she said it but didn't expect this scene. He didn't want to stay here anymore and left without meeting her.
Alex: Did you tell mom yet?
Cindy: Not yet. I was waiting for you to regain consciousness.
Alex: Good. No need to tell her she will worry for no reason.
Cindy: No reason? Dude, you got shot!
Alex smiled in guilt.
He patted her head, "you should rest now. You went through worse than me".
Cindy denied, "Says who? Wilson couldn't even touch me. I'm strong".
Alex smiled seeing her quirky nature, he was happy that she wasn't hostile to him anymore.
Alex: Yes, you're the strongest person I know.
Cindy: Good you took that military training or else we would've failed.
Alex: How do you know about that?
Cindy: Aunt Carla told me.
Alex: Oh, yeah I joined it for 2 years. I still workout and keep practicing different martial arts.
Cindy: okay, okay Mr.Show off.
They chatted for a while then Cindy got up to check on Olivia.
Cindy: They'll be shifting you to normal room soon, I'll see you there.
Cindy was going to leave when Alex stopped her, "Wait."
Cindy looked back, "Hm?"
Alex: Tell Melissa I need to talk with her.
Cindy curiously asked, "About what?"
Alex: I'll tell you later.
She pouted, "fine", and left.

: it's not possible now sir.
Matthew: What do you mean by it's not!?
: They've planned it out really well. They took the support of higher authority. Right now fighting back will mean digging our own grave.
Matthew clenched his fist, "I can't believe a person like Dylan Davis is getting to control me".
