XAVIER'S POV
"So, Xavier. We meet again. Tell me, what should I do with you today?"
I couldn't believe my eyes. I didn't want to anyway. I never thought about the possibility of Luco coming here. He was the leader of the gang. So obviously he wouldn't be coming to the warehouse. He had to have people for that. Plus, the fact that this building was abandoned lessened the chances of him coming here.
The adrenaline flew over my veins like a carp through the river, but I couldn't move a single muscle, not even to scream. The absolute shock completely paralyzed me, and the more I thought about running away, or simply moving a bit, the more discouraged and utterly terrified I felt.
I could feel the cold and slimy fingers just crawling up my spine and squeezing my neck with all the strength they had.
Fear.
It reminded me of the demon that I thought lived under my bed as a kid.
