XAVIER'S POV
I was tired.
Exhausted, actually.
But it wasn't the physical exhaust that was killing me right now. It was fear. The doubt that came with the excitement of rebelling and escaping.
There was something about running for you life, that makes you run faster than ever. Many believe it's the fear that makes you run faster.
However, I, have a different idea. What if the whole time, before you are running for your life, it's the fear that makes you wanna bolt in the opposite direction. Towards the confinement. But now, when you are finally in the moment. The moment of life and death, it's the excitement that overpowers your fear. And makes you run faster than ever. Because if fear was stronger, then you would have already bolted out of there before you got a chance to escape.
