Lide and Emi exchanged glances, and although they felt somewhat tense inside, their expressions remained as usual.
"Lord Withered Bone, this is indeed good news," Emi said with a thick smile on her face.
"I, too, am looking forward to the day we acquire the Divine Artifact."
"Of course, Viscount Bernard has expended a great deal of effort to ensure we obtain the Divine Artifact without fail," Withered Bone shrugged his shoulders. "Lady Emi, come with me. The Dark Contract is really boring without you."
With that, he turned and snapped his fingers.
A burst of ghostly blue light swept across the dark street, whoosh~
The space in front of them suddenly shattered, revealing two skeletal horses with Soul Fire burning in their skulls, their bodies made entirely of white bones on the street.
Withered Bone swung himself up and sat atop one of the horses.
"Lady Emi, come with me."
Emi glanced at Lide, mounted her horse, and followed Withered Bone.
