The seven actors sitting in the hall all started to look a bit anxious.
Only Li Teng continued to eat heartily.
The director had asked everyone to stop what they were doing, not to stop eating.
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" Anna nudged Li Teng.
Li Teng looked up and sure enough, the director was staring at him.
Because the director was looking at him, it caused everyone else to look over at him too.
He had no choice but to stop.
"His hearing isn't very good, and he's a bit slow," Anna quickly explained on behalf of Li Teng, so as not to offend the director.
Li Teng rolled his eyes.
That was a stretch.
"Please follow the staff into the rooms at the rear of the plane, one room per person. Then, with the help of the staff, carry out the preparatory work before the performance," the director announced a few more instructions to everyone.
Eight staff members came over, and each led an actor into the small rooms along the corridor.
