Asmo was finally turning thirteen, after training daily with Izzy for years he was now a different person. He had confidence wherever he went, and had trust in his abilities. He had the maturity of an adult but the body of kid now, it helped that Izzy never treated him as a kid since they arrived at the mansion. He was now had Izzy's same look toward the world, coldness and toughness.
"We will be having the birthday party tonight, I got the maids to buy you a cake Asmo. It feels like yesterday you were put in my arms and I carried you away to our room in the fort, I still recall how you held on for warmth." Not know what to say Asmo sat awkwardly as Izzy reminisced about the past. "Anyway I want you to recall something forever Asmo, Never ever trust humanity they will and to this day betray their own species." Nodding solemnly he knew she was speaking the truth, but he never saw much of the world besides his maids and Izzy. Turning her head to face the ground Izzy began coughing badly, wanting to get up and help her Asmo was stopped by her with a gesture to sit. It had gotten so bad the cough she could no longer hide it at all, it happened almost every other minute.
Later that night Izzy and Asmo were sitting down eating dinner together, they were happily chatting and enjoying the night. After finishing dinner, a group of four maids entered the dining area with a cart. "This is the cake I got you Asmo, It was ordered from a another town. I had a checked for poison don't worry." Saying that she began to slice it, and gave Asmo a slice of the cake. But he was feeling weird, and knocked the cake out of Izzy's hand by accident.
