Chapter 19 - Volume 2 Chapter 9 - A Secret Part 2

"Hey.... where is Lydia?"

Lydia went back to the library, she was sneaking behind the book shelfs again. She heard the whimpering of the child, so she went to the direction of the sound. The child sitting on top of the roof which was clustered down and crying her heart out.

"I need to help her." Lydia thought as she went more closer to the child but then she saw Damien gliding down from the sky in front of the child.

After seeing him Lydia ran back to the book shelf.

"I hope he did not notice me...."

"You know little girl..." Damien said as he was preparing his powers. "We demons have the power to take over earth and it will be done soon."

The child was traumatized for her life, the dark magic in his hand was becoming bigger and bigger.

"If I go there I might get killed." Lydia thought to herself.

"Help me!" The kid screamed.

Damien was bringing his power more closer to her.

"SOMEBODY HELP!! PLEASE HELP!" The Kid cried even more louder.

"BABA!!!! HELP ME!!!" The kid gave out a loud scream. Lydia noticed it and she wanted to save the kid.

"PLEAS SAVE MY DAUGHTER OFFICER!!" Those lines said by the man who was outside played in her head.

"SCREW IT!!!" Lydia said it to herself and she transformed herself as The Green Ajax as fast as possible. She ran to the child and picked her up quickly and ran away from Damien and hid behind the shelfs.

"Wait what!" Damien was in shock.

Lydia was hiding with child on her lap who was hugging her tightly.

"This kid is trusting me to save her life, I cannot backdown now..."

"I am not sure but... you are from The Ajax right?" Damien said this as he was searching everywhere to find her. That sentence made Lydia scared.

"By the color of your dress, It seems like you are the current Green Ajax... What happened to the old one?"

"Did he actually retire?" Damien said as he found Lydia and looked straight into her eyes.

She took the child and they were running all over the place so that they won't get hurt.

"Seems like you are a rookie.".

"First I need to give this kid back to her father, and then I need to somehow fight him..." Lydia was thinking of a plan in her head while she was running.

"You can't run from me Green Ajax!"

Lydia was behind a shelf so that he could loose track of her and when he did, she jumped out of the window with child with her.

She went to the father and gave her to him.

"My Daughter!! I was so worried!!!" He cried while he was hugging his daughter tightly.

"I was very scared Baba!!!"

The father looked up and saw Lydia standing in front of him. She had a huge a presence in the crowd.

"Thank you young Lady..." He said. She nodded and ran back.

"Who is that?" Almer asked, "She is wearing a hood and a mask so I have no clue..."

"OH...MY...GOD...ISNT THAT LYDIA??" Lara said it to herself in her mind. "Didn't that old hag from Japan tell her to not fight Damien until she is ready??? WHAT IS UP WITH HER?? SHE WILL DIE! SHE DIE! SHE WILL DIE!!"

Lydia ran in and hid behind the book shelfs. She peeked and so Damien pursuing his powers to her direction. Seeing this she immediately ran to the sides.

"You cannot run away from me! I can sense you from your moments! I know where you are and what you are doing." Damien said.

"What should I do??" Lydia looked down and saw a sword hanging on the belt on her hips. She took it out and hold it in her hand. Her hand was shivering from fear.

"I don't even know how to use this sword.... maybe I should throw this at him."

Damien was walking slowly to her direction, powering up...

"Why don't you come out and try to fac-"

By then Lydia threw the sword and Damien dodged it, he looked at her who is being wrecked by her fear.

"Are you underestimating me? The fact that you don't even know how to use a sword shows that you are bad fighter and with that skills you thought you could defeat me?" Damien said in an complete spleen.

"Wait! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEA-" Before she could complete her sentence he blew up the place and Lydia fell from a great height and injured herself. She was in a place which would be difficult for Damien to find. The Library shattered into pieces cause of this, and everyone was terrified.

"Oh no...." Lara looked at the library falling apart.

"I hope that black suite lady could defeat him." Almer said.

"Officer! Is that young Lady safe??" The father asked the police who was also terrified by the explosion.

"I... don't...know...."

"YOU ARE AN OFFICER! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SAVE PEOPLE!!" The father got very angry. "Even though you gave up on my daughter...she still went and save her..." He said while he stroked her small daughter's head.

"Well... I am going to the washroom..." Almer said as he kept his hand in his pockets.

"What about that young lady?" Lara asked

"Come on Lara... it's not like we know her or anything, besides when I am going to the washroom, I will try to find Lydia."

"Lydia is inside there fighting for her life..." Lara reminded it to herself.

Lydia was breathing heavily, her hips were in a great pain and her hand was bleeding a lot.

"Am an actual idiot? I am still not ready to fight and yet I fought..."

She took of her mask so that she could breath properly.

"Lydia?" Almer looked at his struggling friend and he was in completely in shock.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ummm IT'S NOT LIKE WHAT YOU SEE!!!" Lydia tried to make up an excuse.

"You were the one who was fighting there?"

"....yes...."

Almer sighed and he walked to her direction.

"Almer! I am really sorry for not telling you! I really feel bad about it!!"

"Don't worry I am not mad." Almer said as he squatted down to her height.

"You are not?"

"Of course not. You probably kept it a secret so I that I won't be in danger." He said as he was putting a bandage around her hand

"Wait... how do you know that?"

"I read a lot of novels, and I see this reason used a lot."

"But aren't you a bit mad?? Lara knows but you don't..."

"I know that you see us both the same and there is no way one of us is more important than the other when it comes to you. She must have stumbled upon you like I did."

"That's... true... too..."

"I think it's better if you don't fight. You injury is still a 2nd degree."

"Even I think the same." both of them turned their face around and saw that it was Master who was coming out of his portal.

"Isn't this that old person who came to the school that day?" Almer asked Lydia.

"Umm... Almer... this is Master... he is the one who made me in this position." Lydia replied.

"Nice to meet you Almer."

"Master... I am sorry... I couldn't defeat him...." Lydia told as she bowed her head in shame.

"Lydia I never said that you had to defeat him... with the skill that you have now, you can never defeat him... But defeating a villain isn't the only thing that a hero can do... saving others is also a thing when it comes to being a hero."

After hearing this she looked up to him.

"I saw that you saved someone's life... and that is important for today. There will be a time where you save thousands of people... but for today...this is your first stepping stone."

Lydia was surprised... she was sitting there all amazed....

"For now... I will send him back to his home" Master left with these words.
