When they finally land, Atelier couldn't hop off the dragon quick enough. Her heart is a lump in her throat. She feels sick. She doesn't remember her first train ride to Pandemonium being nearly as bad.
"You don't look so good," Kreiss comments.
"I don't feel so good," Atelier says, patting her chest so the half-digested remnants of her last meal will stay down. She looks at Skulljape and swears she saw him smiling in satisfaction.
"It's normal. This isn't even half as horrible as my first ride on Skulljape." He chuckles and reaches up to scratch the dragon behind his horn. Atelier notes that the right horn is broken and missing the top half, but saves the question for some other time. She would hate to piss Skulljape off even more. "Riding a dragon becomes more pleasant after you get to know the dragon, you see."
