"Yes. Kill me." Hope says, looking at me in the eyes. she seemed unfazed at what she said, like she knew it had to be done at some point and I had to be the one to do it since we were fated mates. "you have to kill me to stop the disease from getting any worse, but until then it is something I have to deal with. but please do it some time soon." she says while I was listening to her talk about this.
"Alright....I'll think about it, until then let's forget about it." I say while standing up and I get started on cleaning up breakfast, when I was finished I look over at her. We go to class together and the day was normal for now. The school was getting set up for the dance that was going to be happening later on in the week and I took this as my chance. "Hey Hope, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the dance with me?" I asked her while we were walking from class together
"Of course Ja Hason, I'll go to the dance with you." She says with a smile before kissing me on the cheek and she goes off after she says she had some studying to do. I decide to hang out with Wren and Hunter for the rest of the afternoon while I scrolled through social media, hunters were still on my trail after what happened a month or two ago but I didn't really worry because they haven't really made any threats or have planned anything. or so I thought.
After Wren and Hunter left, it was getting dark so I decided to head back to my dorm to see if Hope was awake or still studying, but before I could get anywhere a blacked out SUV pulled in front of me and Jamison stepped out, still looking like he was healing from the attack Hope did. "Jason. Get in. Now." He says as he pointed a gun at me, his finger on the trigger.
I shook my head, I had no choice so I had to follow what he told me to do, so I got in the SUV and we drove off to where I was taken to the last time. 'what the hell are they planning?' I think to myself while I heard Daxon telling me that I didn't need to worry, that whatever happens he'll make sure that no harm comes to me and that I will be okay.
the SUV stops in front of the building and I get out, getting taken inside of the building and to a room. "what the fuck are you guys planning?" I ask before I get punched on the left side of my face, knocking me to the ground.
"you're gonna join the rest of your mutt family. so, any last words before I kill your bloody ass, mutt?" he asks while reaching for a knife, I was being held by two hunters, not being able to move I watched as Jamison walked up to me with the knife and stabbed me in the stomach, I winced in pain before my vision blurred a bit and I was dropped to the ground, I groaned in pain while Jamison crouched by me.
"I have someone who wants to see you." he says before Hope comes into the room and sees me lying there on the ground in my own pool of blood
"H-hope, I'm sorry...Don't ever forget me...." I say through choked breathing before my body goes limp, making it seem like I was dead, but I wasn't. Daxon was keeping me alive but making it seem like I was dead to everyone else. When Hope saw that I wasn't moving or breathing she snapped, she screamed which caused glass to break and everyone in the room to black out before she shifted to her coyote form and ran outside the building, going on another killing spree, thinking she had lost me for good and that she wasn't getting me back either.
I was left in the building, just laying there in my blood. it seemed like days went by before I gasped and breathed in, coughing heavily while I caught my breath, my wound healed partially, just leaving a faint scar. "Where's Hope, Daxon?" I asked before he told me what happened since he witnessed the event that occured. "I need to find her. I fucking can't let her go on another rampage and kill innocent people." I shook my head as I ran through the woods before shifting and I followed the faint scent of her coyote, trying to catch up with her to try and calm her down somewhat and convince her I am alive and okay.
It took awhile but I soon caught up to her, seeing her covered in blood and standing over the body of a dead person. "Hope, It's Jason....I'm alive, this isn't a vision of me. I'm real" I say gently while I slowly walk forward, keeping my eye on her while I tried to find some sort of humanity in her beautiful eyes. Soon her demeanor changed and her stance softed while she whined a bit, I go over to her and nuzzle her gently, she wasn't fully back but at least she knew that I was alive and okay.
I head back to our apartment with her and I take a shower after she washes the blood off of her body. We then head to bed, her cuddling up against my body in her favorite sleeping position.
We soon both fell asleep and she woke up in the middle of the night, having a nightmare and a panic attack about what she did to innocent people when she snapped. I stayed up with her, comforting her and holding her close to me until we both fell back asleep and we slept in late the next morning, which was the day before the dance was supposed to happen. we head to class and it was a normal day as usual while they were excited for the dance tomorrow, we hung out with Wren and Hunter for the afternoon after their classes were over. we all stayed out late and went to our apartments to sleep for the night. The next morning we spent the whole morning to get ready for the dance, which was fantasy themed.
we go to the dance together after everything was settled and we head to where the dance is being held at, loud music could be heard even before we even entered the room and went to get drinks, hanging out with each other for a bit before "Hold On to You" by Tyler Williams plays and I smile before shaking my head. "come on Hope, its your favorite song." I say as I take her hand and walk with her to the dancefloor, slowing dancing with her as she laid her head against my shoulder.
"I don't want this night to end Jason, this night has been the best night that I've had so far in my entire life. I love you so much." she says softly to me before looking up at me, we both lean in and kiss each other gently while we were close together on the dancefloor, soon the music died down and the announcer said that there was a slideshow that was put together. I smile as I had my arms around Hope as the slideshow started, showing pictures of funny and memorable moments between most of the students at the college, the finally it started to show moments of me and her that I took pictures of as well as moments with me her, Wren and Hunter. All of this brought Hope completely back to reality and she hugged me tightly, not letting me go at all.
"please don't ever leave me Wolfy...I could never live without you." she says softly before looking back up at me, we head back to Wren and Hunter after the slideshow ended and we stayed until the dance was over around midnight, and we headed back to our apartment and crashed for the night.
