After the speech all there were a plethora of emotions amongst the students. Some felt excited that Principal Kim was so determined to make this school better, others felt unsure of what to make of him, and some student just straight up didn't like him. Jungkook though, he felt unnerved. Like something was off about Pricipal Kim.
Jungkook couldn't exactly put my finger on it yet, maybe it will come to him later. The male hoped so, he didn't want to have this annoying pit in his stomach all the time.
" You feel it too?" Hoseok asked beside the younger. Hoseok was the most suspicious out of the his group of friends. Jimin was one of the kids who didn't really have an opinion on anything. But, Hoseok knows something is up with Principal Kim. He knows now that his skepticism was justified.
" What are you talking about?" Jungkook replies, unsure of what the elder meant.
" That feeling. That gut feeling that something isn't quite right?" Hoseok said, the younger finally understanding.
" Oh, yeah. That speech just doesn't sit right with me. But, we shouldn't say anything until we are with Jimin again." Jungkook says. Jimin wasn't with them because he had already found his class, but Jungkook and Hoseok haven't.
" Good call. Ah, I think I found my class. See you at lunch!" Hoseok says as he heads towards the direction of his classroom, which is World Literature.
Shortly after Jungkook found his classroom which was Biology. When he walked in the entire classroom was completely. Kang originally had the desks formed in groups of four together to help with teamwork and collaboration. Now, the desks are all in groups of two. The decoration are now gone as well, which gave the classroom this unwelcoming feel.
All the desks had name cards on them. His seat was in the second row, closest to the window. His partner's name is Chai, but they were not here yet. Jungkook just sits in his seat, waiting for class to begin.
" Before we start our lecture, the Principal Kim gave you all a new student handbook. A set of rule and regulations for the new year. We must go over it before class." The teacher explained when she walked in and started passing out said handbook.
Namjoon furrows his eyebrows. There was certainly nothing wrong with the old student handbook. What's with the change? Namjoon begins reading the handbook. Here are the rules:
1. No running or skipping in the halls.
2. No roughhousing.
3. No bullying.
4. No interacting with other students.
5. No discussing class work with teachers or students .
5. No after school activities (unless it's student council related)
6. No work extensions. ( Unless you're in student council)
7. Students are not permitted to help another student.
8. No PDA ( Especially sane sex couples)
9. No art of any sort ( art, music, drama etc.)
10. No disrespecting student council members.
* Anyone who breaks these rules will be SEVERELY punished!
Nam couldn't believe what he was reading. This had to be some of the stupidest rules he's ever seen. Students are no longer able to express themselves or even be able to have fun with their friends. There not able to get help with different subjects. This isn't going to help students be better. It's going to make everything harder. Kang would've never let this happen.
" Namjoon?" The teacher asked. She had been trying to get said males attention for a little over a minute now. Namjoon suddenly snaps out of his thoughts.
" M-Ma'am" Namjoon responded.
" Principal Kim would like to see you!" The teacher explained, happily. A little too happy for Namjoon's liking.
" Daeshim, you can't seriously think that these moronic rules is help you with your plan. Nothing was wrong with with the last ones. Your putting these kids in-"
" Can you shut your goddamn mouth for one second! I know what I'm doing!" Daeshim shouts, cutting his sister, Sora off. She had seen the absurd rules that her big brother had created.
And she wasn't having it. She tried to talk to Daeshim about it, and you see how that turned out.
" You seem to forget what your role is around here." He said while walking up to Sora, now their faces are inches from each other. " You are just lousy secretary who can't hold her tongue. Don't tell me how to do my fucking job when you can barely do yours."
Sora pushed him away. She truly despised her brother. Even when they were kids they never got along. He was terrible person, and what he's doing to the school is only justifying her beliefs. The fact that their related brings Sora to tears.
Suddenly they both hear a knock at the door. Namjoon.
" Ah, he's here." Daeshim says, making Sora look at him with a concerned look mixed with confusion.
" Who's here?" She asks.
" None of your business, now if you can please leave that'd great." He responds.
Sora groans as she leaves the room. On the way out she notices Namjoon and wishes him good luck.
" You called for me?" Namjoon asks as he walks into the room.
" Tell me Namjoon, do you know how a food chain works?" Principal Kim asks, Namjoon raises an eyebrow. What is he talking about?
" Y-Yes sir." Namjoon replies.
" That is what this school essentially is. A food chain. The strongest thrive at the top, and the weak are miserable at the bottom. Tell me, which one do you want to be?" Daeshim says.
Namjoon had to really process what the Principal was saying. His family had always made strive for perfection. To never settle for average. They wanted him to strive for greatness. No matter what the cost.
And he certainly wasn't going to settle in the situation he is now with his school.
" I want to be at the top, sir." Namjoon replied, determination laced in his voice. Daeshim chuckles.
" I knew you were perfect. Never settling for what's before him. That's how Kim's are. Gluttonous creature who always want more. I see that in you."
In Namjoon's head he looks uncomfortable, but on the outside he looks determined.
" Namjoon, can I ask you something?" Daeshim asks.
" Sure, what is it?"
" Will you become my student body President. That way...."
" We can be at the top together!"
