Alastair looked at the similar-looking key card with military special force emblem for a long time before opening his mouth, "what do you think that might be missing from your grandfather's study..?"
Steven knew it was Alastair who called to the security to rescue his grandfather, but he can't reveal that by himself.
Alastair wanted to test this person's loyalty towards old general Billius. 'After all, these soldiers are loyal only to their country.
It's quite a good thing, but they always ignore their family while fulfilling their duty towards the country,' Alastair thought to himself, remembering his foster mother's loneliness when his father served in the military.
"I understand your intention of asking this question, Mr. Felix. I only want to know who dared to hurt my grandfather when I am still alive," Steven answered, stretching each word clenching his teeth.
"Hey! come on, you can't be more formal with me. What's with Mr. Felix? Call me as Alastair," Alastair pouted at him, childishly sitting on one of the sofas while crossing his legs to fit in.
"You will never change, will you..? I wanted to attend your graduation ceremony, but you know how military works," Steven said casually, handing him a cup of muskmelon juice.
"You are becoming expert in making this Juice Stev," cleaning his fake mustache Alastair commented."
"I will never understand your weird tastes. Coming to the point, I want you to stay in my grandfather's villa," Steven said.
"I can't as I have someone to take care of in the house," Alastair said. Before Steven ask who it is, "that's my pet dog, Browny. You should visit my house; it's so cute," he added further.
Steven hummed, and they both finished juice and coffee in silence.
After a long time, Steven spoke, "I guess this invasion is about grandfather's vill. There might be some important files missing, but they are not that important."
"You are a major general for special force. You could have easily caught him without beating your eye-lid. Why do you want my help..?" Alastair asked seriously.
"As if you don't know what's my position in that family. I don't want more chaos in the house, Alas. Moreover, I don't have time to deal with those ignorant and nonsensical people," Steven said.
"Okay then, give me the details, and I will take over the case officially. I forgot to tell you, I am going to call Thomas for help," Alastair said, getting up preparing to leave.
"It's already late, stay here. My assistant will drop you in the morning," saying Steven got up and went out of the study room.
"Come on; it's not that late yet. Where are you going by the way..?" Alastair asked, following him.
"I am going out to conduct a surprise patrol for my team. You are already in your pajamas. You are out of excuses," Steven commented before leaving.
'What's wrong with coming out in pajamas, I am a detective, and there was an emergency,' Alastair spoke to himself, scratching his head.
A room was always prepared for him in Steven's official residence, as he used to visit Steven often before he went for graduation. Steven's assistants are well acquainted with Alastair.
He came inside the bedroom and lay on the bed looking at the walls, having photographs of himself and Steven with their parents.
Sighing to himself, Alastair closed his eyes before sending a message to Thomas asking him to visit his house early in the morning tomorrow.
The night passed as quickly as it came. In the morning after finishing his exercise, Steven came to wake Alastair. "Alastair, wake up; it's almost 7 in the morning."
"Hey! Go away, military man, don't make me follow your timings. I am dead tired and need more sleep," Alastair turned his face and murmured in his sleepy voice.
"Stop winning, we all know you are an early riser. Come on, get up now, we need to talk about grandfather" Steven pulled the quilt forcefully.
Alastair immediately woke up, "wait for me at the dining table. ooh! yeah, I want to eat pancakes with honey today," and went inside the washroom.
Steven went out and asked the cook to be prepared according to Alastair's taste and then sat on one of the dining chairs reading the newspaper.
Since he already blocked the invasion of his grandfather's villa, there is no news about that.
Alastair came out wearing Steven's clothes. looking at him, Steven raised a brow, asking, "why didn't you ask me before wearing my clothes..?"
"Then why did you place them in the bedroom allotted for me..?" he answered with a question. "Leave it; what is it that you want to speak with me..?," he added further.
Shaking his head for Alastair's childishness, steven continued, "they tried to grab grandfather's vill but failed. Instead, they got documents of his various other properties and businesses."
"Okay, give me the list, and I will check it out, also give me the key card of the villa. I will visit it after leaving," Alastair eating pancake with his hands.
"Didn't I give you yesterday night itself," Steven said. Listening to him, Alastair left the pancake and rushed into the bedroom, and there he found the key in his pajama pant.
"Yeah, you gave me yesterday. I am leaving now, will contact if required," Alastair said with his pajamas hanging on his shoulders.
"You will leave like this only..?" Steven asked, to which Alastair said, "yup, is there any problem..?"
"Nope, not at all. Finish the breakfast before you leave," Steven said.
Coming out of the official residence, Alastair shouted, "nope, I am full. I came here via city bus, send your driver to drop me."
Steven called his driver and sent Alastair to his house.
Thomas is already waiting for him while trying to interact with Browny when Alastair reached his home.
As promised, Alastair carried Browny out in his hands and started walking while speaking with Thomas.
"Do you remember Mr. Billius, a friend of my father..?" steven asked while playing with Browny's paws.
Browny kept on looking at Thomas and Alastair with its big black eyes and perked up ears.
"yes, I do. is something happened to him..?" Thomas asked in return.
"Not yet, but may happen in the future. Someone sneaked in this place and tried to get old man Billius's vill. That's what Steven is thinking," Alastair replied.
"But you think otherwise, right..?" Thomas immediately understood his thoughts.
"I am going into that villa, now. Come with me," saying Alastair lowered his head at browny, "are you happy now..?" Browny gave a happy "ow, ow."
Alastair left Browny to Flinch and came out of his house. Thomas is in his uniform, and Steven already spoke with his head.
When Alastair and Thomas reached the villa, it doesn't seem someone invaded this place.
"Alastair, this military compound is strictly secured as the army official residences. So it must be someone from the family, who gave the access," Thomas concluded, looking at the villa.
Inside the villa, everything is as it is before. Only the study room turned upside down. The invaders threw away all the books here and there.
Alastair didn't touch anything. Thomas observed blood drops on the sofa and the coffee couch.
"You said nothing happened to Mr. Billius, but there is blood here, " Thomas asked, observing everything.
"Nothing serious, but he got stabbed in the abdomen and is currently in the military hospital," Alastair said and ordered, "collect the fingerprints and the blood samples, then sent to Bellatrix."
Alastair, with a severe look, added, "it should be confidential Thomas," to which Thomas nodded. Meanwhile, Alastair checked each room in the villa.
He went outside into the garden and noticed footprints there. He collected them and then went back to the house, instructing Thomas to come after finishing the job.
Alastair went into his study and closed the door. He checked the footprints with the criminal database but failed to find a connection.
Opening his laptop, he typed something and then got the printouts. He attached all those papers on a clipboard and stood in front of them.
After collecting the samples, Thomas called Bellatrix and asked her to visit Alastair's house.
"Hey! how can I come at this time. I am at the workplace," Bellatrix said, answering the phone.
"This is more important than the work you are handling now in the bureau, come fast," saying he disconnected the call.
Bellatrix handed her work to others and started to Alastair's house immediately.
Thomas knocked at the study room, and Alastair shouted, "It's open, come inside."
Alastair was still standing at the clipboard when Thomas came inside. "is this information about Billius family..?" he asked, looking at the clipboard.
"Hmm, old man Billius had two wives. Three children with first wife and one daughter with the second wife. His first wife has a company deals with shipyards, whereas his second wife doesn't have anything.
After retirement, Mr. Billius collaborated with an armory dealing company. Within a few years, he became one of the primary shareholders of the company.
A note is that no one from the first wife's family is aware of this company except Steven's mother, Mrs. Romilda Billius; she didn't change her surname after getting married.

Bellatrix reached Alastair's home and knocked at the study room. At the same time, Alastair got a phone call from a military number.
Signaling Thomas to explain to her, Alastair went out while speaking on the phone.
"Alastair, have you checked the villa thoroughly," came Steven's urgency filled voice.
"Ha, yes. I have checked it thoroughly. It seems something is missing from grandfather's study," Alastair said.
"Alastair that something is the lastest weapon design which will help the military base. We need to find it as early as possible. I don't care who you are suspecting. We have to get into the bottom of the case," Steven said.
"Hmm, Steven, wait, you are speaking this thing on the phone. What if," before he finishes, Steven said, "don't worry, the calls I make protected and encrypted."
"Alright, then I am suspecting all the family members of the Billius, including your mother," Alastair said bluntly.
"Alright, gather each member of the family. I am going to provide you one of my office buildings for interrogation. If I involve myself, they will be alerted, so you have to be careful," Steven agreed instantly.
"Okay then, speak with CBI's head and asked him to give full permission for Thomas to interrogate your family members," saying Alastair disconnected the call.
When he came back, Bellatrix already started to test the blood samples while Thomas is speaking with his head.
"Bella, I have tested the footprints, and there's no match with the existing criminal record. I want you to test the blood samples along with the fingerprints we collected."
Bellatrix gave thumps up, not even lifting her head. Thomas and Alastair went to the CBI head office and collected the interrogation permission as well as a warrant in case if they won't cooperate.
Junaid giving the file, said, "be careful, Thomas, the military and arms dealing company is involved in the case," to which Thomas said, "I will take care of things, sir."
They came back to Alastair's house and went through the older man Billlius family's information that Junaid gave.
"We need to call each person mentioned in this file for interrogation Thomas. Come, we have to leave for special forces office." Alastair said after going through the file.
Later, "Alastair, one of the blood samples matched with the old general while another didn't match with our criminal records."
