Chapter 1 - Graduation ceremony

Alastair Felix is going to attend his graduation ceremony this morning at 11'o clock from Harvard University.

The university is one of the most prestigious universities in the world, having branches in all the departments.

Today, the graduation ceremony is going to happen for the students in all these departments.

There are recruiters all around the world for hiring these freshly graduated students.

Alastair started getting ready, thinking about his past days.

Today is the last day he can be here on this campus, where he spent all his college life.

After this graduation ceremony finished, there will be nothing left for him to come back.

Unlike other students, he never interested in interacting with each other, just immersed himself in the studies and experiments.

Being a science graduate gave him lots of scopes to conduct experiments on crime scenes and write a thesis about them.

He attended countless crime scenes while he was doing part-time jobs to help him graduate.

He felt the corpses he had seen were always trying to tell him another story that might have happened in reality, unlike the one they witnessed in the crime scene.

Alastair chose to work for a private investigating firm as a part-time investigator to complete his masters.

That part-time job helped him complete his masters and helped him understand the situations of crime scenes and the murderer's motives intimately.

He always felt something beyond what we saw on the normal outer surface of a crime scene.

That feeling alone forced him to be primary in the investigating department.

The man is of 6' feet with electric blue eyes and raven black hair.

He could have tried his luck in the entertainment department, but he chose to be a detective.

A consulting detective more precisely, Alastair chose the investigation department as his major and going to graduate with flying colors.

His thirst for knowing the truth behind a crime scene made him go for this department despite not having much knowledge aft the start.

He came a long way at the age of 23 to be a master's degree holder in this department.

After his graduation ceremony today, he will be an official consulting detective.

A consulting detective is not any regular private investigator, and he should possess immense talent, observation, and patience while solving the crimes.

He should be able to detect small things which ordinary people usually either ignore or forget. He only advises about crime scenes.

If he had a family, he might have never chosen this field, but his fate decided for him to walk in this path.

Alastair lost his parents at a young age to an incident framed as an accident.

At some point in time, when he was young, he paused on investigating his parents as he only met dead ends.

That is one of the reasons he chose to become an exclusive consulting detective today.

He may not have many emotions left in him about the accident now, but he never wanted anyone to be in despair and loneliness.

He strongly felt the accident that happened years ago is not just any pure random accident.

His parents were prominent figures in the social circle. His mother is a scientist, whereas his father is a political figure.

The incident might have happened to kill either one of them or else both of them.

He always felt the accident might be about something his mother was experimenting in those days, but what can a 10-year-old boy prove to those higher officials in the police department.

In less than two years, his parents' case closed due to crossing speed limits into an accident.

He tried to make his father's people help him, but a dead politician can never be as influential as the one alive.

There was no scope for him to hang on the thin thread to give his birth parents justice.

One year later, he has adopted by a retired military couple who is in their late years.

As they don't have children, his adoptive mother insisted on adopting him when they saw him in an orphanage.

They provided much-required love and warmth, making him survive in this society.

Even though he immersed himself in his current life, he never forgot about his birth parents.

His adoptive mother loved him like her own son, making him believe that he still had a family.

Even if it is adaptive, it still gave him necessities and a family to control him before he turns into a crazy person.

All his nights, he had haunted with dreams probing him, why he never found his parents murderer.

The man splashed water on his face, then cleaning his face, looked into himself in the mirror.

He promised himself that even if it takes his life, he will find out who killed his parents. Alastair came out of the room; all dressed in the navy blue suit to present at the graduation ceremony.

To the graduation hall, he looked at the students who are going to graduate today.

He sighed to himself, looking at all the students with their parents, thinking how good it would be if his adoptive parents could attend his graduation.

His military retired foster father would be so proud of him.

While his father was looking at him proudly, his mother could have shred tons of tears, saying they were happy tears.

And she is just happy looking at her son graduating from Harvard in London.

Alas, if only they were alive, this could happen. Alastair's foster father died after reminiscing the loss of his adoptive mother.

His foster mother died due to kidney failure, which made his father deeply fell into depression.

He tried to cure his father, but nothing worked out as the loss of his partner cannot be filled. Thinking all these, he randomly looked at either side of him.

He also could have been like these people if his birth parents had not died, how much ever he dwells in the past, he can't make everything work according to his wishes.

He never regretted his decision to become a consulting detective and be a famous personality in the world of crime investigation. After all, who doesn't thrive for perfection and be recognized.

Many of his pals despise him saying he is too obsessed with investigation and perfection, whereas he only knows why he needs them.

Despite being an intelligent and more observant, he never cared about his appearance as, like today, only his suite looks neat and tidy, unlike his hair and shoes, alas who care about your hair and shoes, by the way.

He didn't notice when he came into the graduation hall thinking all these.

He blamed it all on his nervousness of being attending the ceremony.

When he came into the hall, his bunch of friends waved at him like crazy frogs asking him to walk towards them.

Looking at them all dressed up as if attending a dinner with the queen of England, he busted into a laugh.

All the parents. With their children looked at him as if he is some alien descended from the sky to be an eyesore.

Covering his mouth, he just bowed at them and continued walking towards his friends.

All of the presenting members started whispering to themselves about his misbehavior, whereas his friends glared at him.

If only looks can kill, he could have been buried under 8 feet (2.44 m) deeper the ground.

One of his friends who is going to graduate in forensic science spanked him on the head and said, "you idiot, be more proper dressed at least for your graduation, look at you..!"

The other friend, who is of math background, said, "how does it matter whether he is well-dressed..? After all, no one here will take an interest in an investigative obsessed person."

The one graduating in forensic science is a woman named Bellatrix Venric, she is the daughter of one of the best forensic doctor's in the London city.

The other who is of math background is a man named Henry gray, the son of a businessman who runs a ship manufacturing company.

All his bunch of friends is exceptionally talented in their backgrounds; the only thing that doesn't match with him is they are not obsessed with their passion and have alternatives for their careers.

Alastair just laughed, saying, "what do you mean by more properly dressed. Am I not well-dressed? Look at my suit, well, leave the part of the shoes. I was in a hurry, you know."

The other friend who is going to be an officer in CBI said, "yeah, yeah, our dear Alastair is in a hurry as if he came before everyone. "

He smacked on his head, saying, "don't even dare to give excuses, who knows what will happen after we graduate. Most probably, you will not even think about us.

We thought to take some pictures as memories, but the master here ruined it by coming late."

Alastair raised his hands as if surrendering to them said, "alright, alright. Sorry for ruining your initial plans. After we finish the ceremony, we can have dinner as compensation."

Everyone agreed to this arrangement and took their allocated seats, saying, "you better pay the bill as compensation."

Alastair laughed, "you stinky people, you should be more generous on this orphan." They all glared at him, and he shut up immediately.
