"All right everyone. That's it for today. Thank you for coming for today's extra session. I wish you a happy holiday. Please keep up the good work and maintain your health. Winter is coming in strong this year," the coach announced. "Hey, Pride. Exceptional performance today. Keep it up, bud."
As their instructor left the hall, Pride excused himself to the shower. The gym had no access to hot water, causing most of the athletes to shower at their own houses instead. Pride packed up his belongings before walking away from his teammates.
"Was it just me or did that rookie look off these days?" one of the sophomore student whispered loud enough for him to hear.
"Yeah, even if coach said he did well. There is just something about his eyes, you know," another guy chimed in.
"Yeah, yeah. Exactly! It's like he sees right through you and your every moves. Kind of creepy if you ask me."
