Lust excused himself and advised his friend not to stay outside for way too long. He even threatened to open the blinds in her room if she was to catch a cold from staying on the balcony. Wrath reassured him that she would get in once she finished her hot chocolate. And with that, she was alone once again.
Wrath slumped her blanket on the back of her chair sloppily before rolling up her long sleeves to her elbow. She wriggled her fingers and controlled her breathing; eyes closed to immerse herself in her current task.
"Agni," she opened her eyes and focused on the altar.
In an instance, the candle wicks on her shrine lit up. But one of the flame was misfired. It was off by less than an inch; causing the wick to ignite, though the flame was weak and extinguished within a couple of seconds.
"Tch," the witch brooded at her failure.
