In a matter of seconds, their assailant was gone. The two teens rushed out to the end of the tunnel; lungs burning from the cold air. Eventually, they were free and safe from the precarious hands of the living maze. The late autumn breeze greeted them with a blast of sharp wind. They got in Pride's car and drove off silently. Wrath had her arms folded the entire ride home, and her pout was as menacing as ever.
"I'm sorry," Pride pulled into the parking lot, but still letting the heater run.
"Why did I only wear a t-shirt today. I guess it's just my luck to get a frostbite," she sighed.
"Huh?"
"Hmm? Why are we not getting off the car? I'm hungry, let's go. I bet Lust made us some fancy dinner," she unbuckled her seat belt and hopped off.
'She's not mad at me?' he tilted his head in bewilderment.
