Death's eyes quivered as the hands got hold of his throat. He tried his best to keep his mouth and heart shut to avoid getting possessed by one of Wrath's underlings.
"You'd have to open that mouth eventually. In the meantime, I'll be paying your brother a visit," she leaned closer; her mouth inches from his ear. "It's a shame your car is locked from the outside."
She immediately left him to spend the next few minutes fighting the urge to open his mouth with the daunting realization of her actual plan. By the time she had reached the green jeep, all she could hear was Death's muffled noises followed by multiple sets of footsteps. The familiar crunchy texture of shoes on the graveled path filled the air. The suspenseful environment became almost unbearable as Plague tried his best to act normal.
"Boo!" Wrath banged her palm on the passenger seat's window.
Plague jumped from his seat ever so slightly as a reflex.
"Aww… Did I startle you?"
