[Time to hunt!]
As soon as Mickaila has located his closest prey, he first ensured he was fully hidden before making his way over, being very careful to not bump into any other hunters along his way.
Just when he was about to reach his destination, he suddenly heard a scream from the same location, checking on the map it seems like both the person who seems to be a civilian has got in contact with the monster.
Swiftly, Mickaila made his way over to what seems like a dark and closed up street with little to no street lights since majority were already broken. Looking around he sees no monster despite the system's map indicate there is one close by, as he looked around, his eyes suddenly wanders and stops at this little girl who hid herself behind a bunch of cardboard boxes stacked at the side of the road, maybe an attempt to hide herself but Mickaila doubt it'll work.
The girl looks to be around 14 years old with long brown hair that was tied up in a pink tail along with light brown eyes and a frightened expression present on her face and from the looks of her attire and luggage, she seems to be someone who ran away from home and unluckily met the monster. Along with her wearing slippers which seems quite new and have little to no scratches and dirt until now, Mickaila can conclude that her house wasn't that far away.
Kneeling down to her eyes of sight, "little kid, don't worry. Can you tell me what happened?" And just as Mickaila was about to get an answer from the little girl, he suddenly sensed a murderous aura from behind, he quickly ducked and took the girl along with him.
As soon as they were safe from the grasp of whatever presented that murderous aura from, Mickaila quickly let go of the girl and searched around his surroundings once again, double checking whether there was truly anything to be afraid of.
Then at that exact moment, Mickaila felt a small pull on his jumper and looked down to the cause of it, and following the hand that was tightly holding onto his jumper, he sees the little girl that faced him with worry and fright.
"I... I was j...just passing by when I f...felt something grab onto me..." she said trembling from the experience, "....I...I heard it's breathing in my ears b...but when I t...turned around. Th...there was nothing!" She said gripping the edge of Mickaila's jumper more tightly.
Mickaila nodded hearing out the little girl, "okay, you stay put here and don't wander. You understand?" He asked which the little girl nodded frivolously. Despite the fact that the little girl cannot see the boy's face in front of her, she had no other choice to believe in him. She knew for certain that he wouldn't harm her and she trusted her instincts.
With that Mickaila stood up onto his 2 feet and etched forward from his position, despite knowing that the monster was close to him but the exact location of it cannot be interpreted through the map so now it is all down to Mickaila's own skill.
One thing for certain is that this creature he was about to fight either has a immense amount of speed or that it can camouflage itself within the darkness, either way he knows that for this battle, he needs a really good sense.
With a step forward, he reached into his inventory bringing out 2 daggers, knowing that using a gun can attract many attentions so it can only be used as a last resort.
Going forward, knowing that he doesn't have the sight to see the creature's whereabouts so he only has the ability to trust his hearing and instinct to win against his opponent.
Just as he was about to concentrate, he was slashed from behind and unluckily he didn't duck in time leaving a back wound. He steadied his breathing and closed his eyes once again trying to track the creature's movements, just as he could sense its shadow coming closer towards him, he ducked, spinning around and just as he was about to stab it in the back, it sank into it's own shadow.
[what is this creature?] Mickaila asked himself.
But without loosing concentration, he tried sensing it once again but it was nowhere close. Knowing that it didn't run away yet but instead it was lurking within the shadows, Mickaila knows that he would only have one try, awaiting for the creature to come back out from its den, and at that swift moment, Mickaila would have to make his move.
Awaiting until he sensed the creature moving out of the darkness from behind, he clenched both daggers and just as it was about to reach him, he quickly spun around and stabbed the monster straight in the head.
And with that it's appearance presented itself in front of Mickaila, just as he opened his eyes he sees a black cloaked creature that looks to be of human shape but he wasn't sure what it is since it was all covered in the cloak and nothing was out in the open and just as he was about to reach out, the system notification popped up in front of him,

heightened perception is a skill that increases an individuals perception through seeing, hearing or being more aware of its surrounding with a 20% more accuracy, allowing you to have a birds eye view of their own surrounding by a 5 metre radius|
And just when he was about to ask the system what the creature in front of him was, a screen appeared in front of him once again,
Creature: Night Walker
Level: 8
Description: this is a type of dark shadow monster that lurks in the darkness, it loves sucking the life force of humans especially young children to help them grow in dark magic.
Ability: it can hide and travel through different shadows and be undetected, it also has the ability to immobilise an individual from moving|
Looking over at the creature which has now disappeared and in its place were some materials. He wondered why the creature didn't use his full ability on Mickaila, [oh well, and damn I thought I improved quite a lot from that experience this morning with all the trolls but this night walker which is at a lower level even injured me, I guess I haven't improved that much, huh!]
Looking over at the materials that was left he sees the healing liquid that he already knows of its use whilst the other two seems to be a stone and a ring that he hasn't been in contact with before.
Picking it all up and putting it in his inventory system, he then got a description of the two new objects he received.
Item: spatial ring

Description: A stone containing the foundation of oneself to train dark magic|
[sweet, I got some nice materials today] he said happily knowing that he could finally use magic.
He then turned back and walked towards the little girl.
"It's gone now, you don't have to hide anymore." He softly said to the little girl to not scare her away.
The girl looked up to see Mickaila and glanced behind to double check if it was truly gone and stood up onto her 2 feet.
"So then, you shouldn't be out this late at night, I'll take you home." He said to the little girl who hesitated for a bit but nevertheless led the way back. And just as he guessed, after about 10 minutes walk, they reached to a mansion like place that was beyond luxurious.
"Thank you." The little girl said with her small voice smiling at Mickaila before going back inside the building.
Seeing the little girl off and before she went inside she waved back which Mickaila did the same. When the girl finally went inside to safety he then turned around, checking his map, he sees all the monster are either slain or are still in fights with hunters and seeing how it's already this late, he followed the most appropriate pathway that allows him to not get in contact with any of the hunters around the premises and headed back to his and his sister's resident for rest to regain his strength before a new day tomorrow.
