"Okay. What is happening?!?! Why are the three of you looking like I am the crazy one? And who is she!!!" Allen finally exclaimed, regaining his capacity to speak.
"She is . . . . . " June began, thinking that everything would be all right now. Stella was fine, she was unhurt and no one had attacked her.
But among all the commotion, everyone had forgotten one other person. And they all noticed him together as they smelled him, all at once. Five pair of eyed turned towards the entrance of the attic, four of them fearful of what was going to happen next, and one happy upon getting to see an old friend.
And before any of the five had any time to react, a blue blur passed June, who was still beside the entrance of the attic. No one except Stella even saw Den as he ran through the whole attic towards her. Though she easily could have, she didn't have enough presence of mind to move out of the way as he hurled himself at her, taking down both Stella and Allen with him.
Stella's fall was broken as she fell on top of Allen, who landed on the floor under her. Though she didn't fall on the floor, Stella still winced as she was sandwiched between two vampires, with bodies probably harder than the wooden floor. She opened her mouth to shout at Sharp, but her words stuck in her throat upon seeing the expression on his face.
No one in the whole attic dared to move as Den stared down at Stella's petite figure. He seemed unable to do anything other than breathe heavily and narrow his eyes.
"DO. NOT. EVEN." he said, as Stella opened her mouth to say something, which led to her immediately shutting up. When nothing happened for a few more seconds, Stella, supposing that Sharp had calmed down a little after analyzing the situation, tried to get up.
But that was apparently the worst thing she could have done as Sharp grabbed her wrists and pinned them above her head, lifting her up a little and slamming her down again in the process. Stella let out an audible wince this time, but Sharp didn't seem to notice as he continued to stare at her, seemingly even too angry for words.
This went on for a few more seconds, during which Stella didn't even dare to breathe. And it looked like everyone else had stopped breathing too. Finally, Sharp moved.
Stella thought he was getting up, but she was wrong, once again. He moved a few inches closer to her, and Stella would have very much liked to move away, but sadly she had nowhere to go. "HOW? DARE? YOU?!?!" Sharp actually yelled out this time, still inching closer to Stella. She noticed his eyes, and Stella was paralyzed with fear.
She couldn't see any sign of Sharp right now in those eyes. All she saw were those maroon eyes flashing with anger, and Stella was actually scared for her life. The months she had spent with the Zukao brothers flashed in front of her eyes, and she knew, she just knew, that if she stayed with the person who had these eyes in front of her, she would soon end up becoming what she had been for the Zukao brothers.
