Though Mazata was nowhere near as fast as Stella, but he was a fighter nevertheless, and Stella hadn't had any formal training.
He had thrown Stella off of him in a flash, and would have attacked her, had not Stella heard his thoughts and dodged with her insane speed.
Stella had the advantage of surprise, but the longer the fight dragged, the lesser were the chances of her winning.
After a few minutes, all she could do was to rely on her mind hearing and speed to dodge Mazata's attacks. She was completely on the defensive now.
Stella had another serious disadvantage, she was human after all. Moving at such a fast speed, Stella began to grown tired and her movements slowed down. It was enough for Mazata as he grabbed her left leg.
Stella let out a cry as Mazata squeezed her leg, clearly not using all his strength, otherwise Stella's bones would have been crushed.
Mazata sneered as he pulled Stella and threw her. Stella hit a trunk and the back of her head started paining. She touched her head and felt a bit dizzy. But she had no time, Mazata tried to attack again and Stella deftly dodged.
She contemplated running away, but knew it wasn't any good. Though she was faster, she was tired and a bit dizzy. Plus she had hurt her leg.
Mazata would catch upto her in a flash.
Stella quickly weighed her options and knew she was fighting a losing battle.
There was no way she could win.
Stella shook her head and slapped herself. She wasn't one to back down from a fight or give up. She really had gotten soft hanging out with Simon and the others.
Stella went back to her old strategy, offence is the best defence.
She jumped towards Mazata and actually managed to cut his hand with her knife.
Stella sneered as Mazata's wounds didn't heal, "Oh! You're so much in love with my blood that you haven't been feeding? Tsk. I didn't take you to be the committed type."
Hearing her words, Mazata almost lost his senses and rushed towards her.
Stella realised this was a bad move. He was giving in to his instincts which wasn't good for her. He had to fight while carefully planning his moves if Stella was to have any chance.
But the one thing Mazata couldn't bear was an insult from what he considered a lower life form, humans.
Soon enough, Mazata caught Stella. His hands clutched at her throat as she began to struggle for air.
Mazata sneered as he grabbed Stella's right hand and twisted it, "I'll admit you've gotten better. Maybe I'll take you back and let Kaino experiment on you. Kiato won't have any right to stop me now."
Stella shrieked in pain. She was sure her arm was broken. Mazata ignored her cry as he threw her on the floor and ripped away her jeans.
He bent down towards her legs and Stella knew what was coming next. She shrieked with all her might, "STOP!!!!!!!"
Something happened that Stella hadn't expected. Mazata dropped unconscious over her legs.
Stella stared confused at the unconscious Mazata. She prodded him with her left hand. When he didn't move, Stella dragged herself out from under him and towards a nearby tree.
