"And top of the morning to you too, grumpy." Stella grinned as a very grumpy looking young man about 24 or 25 came into view.
He was wearing a baggy sweater which kind of reminded Stella of Darwin. His deep red hair were very messy as he kept running his hand through them, almost bumping into Lily who skipped out of his way.
"Who else is in today's morning shift?" Stella asked when suddenly a voice called out from behind her, "Did you miss me dear? I know you did. But I didn't. Because we were together in my dream the whole night."
Stella turned, suppressing a smile, "Oh yeah Eddie. Well I dreamt about you last night too!! I saw that I was pushing you down a cliff."
Eddie, a boy wearing khaki pants and a white shirt came into view. He was Lily's older brother and had the same platinum blonde hair, which were a bit long and were tied at the nape of his neck with a leather rubber band.
Eddie did not seem disturbed by Stella's rebuff. He slid in between Stella and Lily very easily and put an arm around the former's shoulder, saying, "Really? Cause that's not what we were doing in my dream?"
Stella rolled her eyes as he winked and Lily pulled him away.
"One two three four." Stella counted on her fingers. "It's not rush hour. But we're still one short. Who else is in the morning shift?" She asked, turning around.
Lily shrugged her shoulders, Eddie walked forward with a smile and a snore was the only answer from Joe.
Stella sighed when a loud cough came from the direction of the door. This could only mean one thing.
"Dang it!!" Lily and Stella muttered together as a girl with waist long hair wearing a skinny top and mini-skirt walked into a room.
Before Stella knew what was happening, Eddie had grabbed her hand and was dragging her towards the manager, with Lily trotting behind. "Better to get our roles assigned. The dark cloud just arrived." He muttered as the three raced to the manager's office.
"Yayyyy!!!! I got cash counter." Stella exclaimed as she pushed the t-shirt that was part of the uniform over her head in the girls' dressing room.
"Why do you like cash counter that much? I would have figured if you were like grumpy, but you love running around." Lily asked, tying her hair and looking at herself in the mirror.
Stella pouted, "I'm tired of people complaining of my hair hitting their face whenever I turn around anywhere."
Lily eyed the nest of black that Stella had called her hair. "For how much you love them, you sure never try to comb them. Do you?" She sighed.
Stella rolled her eyes, "You're welcome to try. If you think you can succeed without pulling my head out."
At this point, there was again that familiar cough from the door of the dressing room, demanding attention. Lily tried to leave, but Stella held her back.
"Hello Lauren. Would you like some cough medicine?" She asked with a smile as fake as Lauren's coughs had been.
Lauren stared at Stella, "No. I just wanted to remind you to stay out of my way today."
Lily chuckled, "Don't worry. Nobody wants to have orange juice spilled over them."
