"Uhh, okay. I completely understand why the need arose to do so."
"Hmm? You understand? Then tell me why I tricked you..." He had this very playful but serious look on his face, which I could not comprehend.
Because you had a lot of free time?
"It's- it's because the-" I stuttered. The words got stuck in my throat. Normally I would have accused him of all types of nonsense to get out of this situation, but my brain just stopped processing. This situation only occurred when I wrote my exams, I try to concentrate and answer the question but my brain is just like "Havana oh na na~".
"It's because...?" Mr Wilson leaned closer to me. Does he not know what personal space is. He's all in my face. And because of that, I looked away. He tilted his head to face me. It's like he reaaaally want me to look at him when I'm reaaaally trying to avoid him.
"It's because..... Havana oh na na?" I turned to look at him. What did I just say? *facepalms myself*
"..." After a few moments of silence which honestly felt like a lifetime, Mr Wilson burst out laughing. His hand was still against the wall.
I pouted at him and crossed my hands. Obviously I was angry because he was laughing at me.
He did NOT stop laughing after he saw me, he started wheezing. Damn him. After laughing soooo much, he stomach started to hurt. He hugged me and put his weight on me because he could not take it anymore.
I remember the days when I first joined Revolution, I could barely get a friendly word out of him and now he's laughing at me and making me uncomfortable.
"Are you done?"
"Ahem yes yes- pffft!"
Oh, that's it, I pushed him away very hard. He does not deserve my hug.
"I'm sorry Ms Brown but, you were just... adorable."
Humph! Tell me something I don't know.
"Hmm, since I'm so cute, you should not deny my request. Finish ze soup." I smiled wickedly.
Mr Wilson who was still giggling stopped immediately and frowned at me. It seems I reminded him of how his tongue almost got burnt off.
Mr Wilson started walking away from because he wanted to avoid the 'task' I gave him. Honestly, i just said that to make him stop laughing, I did not want him to drink that soup. I could probably fix that. I did not want to waste food.
"I'll be finishing some work, Ms Brown, don't disturb me for sometime." He planned on finishing off the work he gave me so that I would have more time to spend with him. You know, this is not a bad idea. Perhaps I should feign my inability to work more often and make him do it.
"Oh no, how will I ever curb my incurring thoughts which make me want to disturb you more?" I said sarcastically.
Mr Wilson furrowed his eyebrows and gave me a look before he proceeded with the paperwork.
Well, at least the storm stopped. *shrugs*
BUT, another storm was brewing. Welp. Someone save me.
"Jason! Did you see the news?!" Mr Smith, my father shouted on top of his lungs.
Jason held the phone away for a while, that is until my father was done ranting.
"Uncle, what are you talking about?"
"It's Lia! She's in Country G! And she's attending parties so shamelessly, not even minding about the paparazzi! Don't worry Jason, I will personally bring her back."
Damn the paparazzi! I should have been careful when I was with Lisa. They must have followed us and took pictures. I should probably tell him that the situation was under control.
"Don't worry, Uncle Smith, just chill." Jason sent the picture he took near the party hall, which was actually a famous landmark of that city. He wanted to assure Mr Smith that he was in Country G.
"See, I'm in Country G too. I'm spending time with Lia and getting to know her. I'm trying to make her fall in love with me so don't come here and mess up the plan."
Mr Smith sighed to himself. I only want what's best for you, Lia. Where are you going to find a man who's willing to cross the oceans to pursue you?
Confused as to what's happening? Don't worry, it only gets more complicated. You all must be wondering why Jason insisted on marrying Lia when he's head over heels for Lisa.
No, he's not a playboy, I assure you. The answer lies in the title of this story.
After two days, we were all set to leave Country G. The number of things which happened in a week was just... too much! My brain took some time to process it.
Me liking Mr Wilson, Mr Wilson looking as if he was almost interested, me getting jealous of Katherine, finding out Katherine is totally the opposite of what she looks like, meeting Luke and finding about how my family gave up on me, opening up to Mr Wilson who pretended to be drunk... Yup, it was quite an eventful week.
Whoops, I almost forgot about how I fought off thugs and bravely protected Chris-in-distress.
Shhh, the truth is going to be buried with me and you. To everyone else, I was the one who bravely protected Chris, okay?
One would think that we were going to leave at 6 a.m for the airport because of the incident last time, but no. Chris was fast asleep. Oh, don't mind me, I'm just wearing a suit at 6 in the morning when everyone's asleep.
I cooked something for breakfast so that we could eat and leave immediately. Country G is fine, but I really want to go back.
Mr Wilson woke at the delicious smell of toasted bread. Why bread? I made sandwiches so we could just hold them in our hands and leave as soon as possible.
"Oh? look who's finally awake." I said mockingly.
"Ms Brown? You cooked food? Nah, I just kidnapped a cook and forced him to do it, I never knew that Country G cooks put up a good fight...Hmm..."
Mr Wilson rolled his eyes at my sarcasm. Well, I woke up at 5:30 in the morning only to find out that the flight wasn't leaving until ten. Of course I was cranky!
A few hours later...
"Aah~ It feels good to be home." I smiled and stretched my hands.
"Ms Brown, we're just outside the airport." Mr Wilson was dragging his suitcase and looked at me while he stopped his laugh.
-_-
"Let me have my moment, will you?"
Mr Wilson shrugged and said, "I only spoke facts."
Mr Wilson looked hesitant, 'should I? Or should I not? I should go for it, I should tell her that I'll drop her home.' He thought to himself.
"Ms Brown, how about I-"
"HEY!!! Adam! What are you doing here?" He waved at me and grinned. Aww, he probably remembered that I'm coming back today, *sniffle* such a good friend.
Mr Wilson stayed there, not moving an inch. He just stared as I ran up to Adam and gave him a hug.
"Dude, you never told me you were coming here." I was surprised by his presence.
"Well, what do you think a surprise is?" Adam replied. Yep, classic Adam.
"Oh, right!" I turned towards Mr Wilson. He was clenching his fists, but I was too happy to notice.
I walked up to him and said, "Mr Wilson, you were saying something, I interrupted you. What was it?"
"It's nothing Ms Brown, I was just going to remind you that you should be at the company before 7 a.m tomorrow." Mr Wilson seemed conflicted. But it was not really his style, he would say what he means without hesitation so I did not think much of it.
I nodded at him. Of course, I'm not getting one day rest boohoo. I have to start work from tomorrow.
"Come on, I'll drop you off." Adam suggested. I was okay with that, at least I'd save some taxi money. Plus, I can catch up on all the office gossip.
I'm so ignorant. Sigh... Mr Wilson stared at us as we left. After that, he got into his car and left too.
"So tell me, what happened when I was gone?" I asked.
"Well, Anna got engaged, Tom broke up with Tanya and she went looking for his friend Jeremy. Fortunately, he refused her or else it would have been a huge drama. Oh! And I missed you a lot."
"Aww, I missed you too." Did I feel a little awkward? I did. But we're just friends and nothing more than that. I hope he remembers.
"So, how was your trip? I hope Mr Wilson did not overwork you." He turned towards me and said. We stopped at a signal.
"Nah, Mr Wilson was very sweet. He helped me a lot, and he was very considerate too. I actually had a lot of fun. We went to a party too! I was dressed as Yzma and he was dressed as a Llama."
I quickly fished out my phone and showed him the selfie we took in the shop. I clearly showed the excitement on my face. Adam emotions were completely opposite.
"Luna, Amelia! Do you like Mr Wilson?" He asked.
The signal turned green. I could hear the car horns asking us to move, but we stayed right there.
