Let The Grind Begin

After day seven, things started to get interesting. One of the most interesting narrations of you humans is, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." But this is fundamentally wrong. Why? Because of me. The god of narration.

While one strives in the face of an obstacle, another crouches in fear. One uses the mind to tell the narration of victimhood, and the other uses it to tell the narrative of heroism. It depends on the perspective of men, whether he grows or falls in the face of chaos and adversity. What kind of narration could be Max using?

"Okay, I've been through the facts hundreds of times. I don't sleep, but I can exhaust myself. It's not that I FEEL exhausted, but the more exhausted I become, the less control I've got over my thoughts. Every thought costs energy."

He stopped thinking. It's not as if someone was waiting for him to continue, but the air tasted like impatience. Not that there was any air. Not that the taste of impatience ever existed. But those are the words that come closest to describe the situation.

"It is not possible to stop the mind. The moment I try, the mind starts to kick at me with negative thoughts. It's squeaking like a swine you try to catch. Let me try something else I remember from my past life."

Max imagined the act of breathing and counted every exhalation until reaching ten. Then, he started all over again. Inhalation, exhalation-one. Inhalation, exhalation-two. Inhalation, exhalation-three... Inhalation, exhalation-ten.

"I don't know whether I will escape this place or not, but thinking about it will only make it worse. So, I will focus on the potential value of this situation. The best I can... Wait... Why is this so familiar to me? AAAHHHHH! The room of spirit and time from Dragonball Z. I can use this situation to grind my willpower and master my freaking mind! "

With his newfound narrative, Max continued for hours. If he had had a head, you would see drops of sweat coming from his forehead. You would see tears coming from his eyes, for the pain became greater and greater. But you can't, for he does not have a body–only his mind.

Hours became days. Days became weeks, and before he realized, nine months had passed.

"You will never escape. This is your graveyard. This is the place you will stay forever."

Inhale.Exhale.One.

"You will never escape. This is the place of your death. This is your punishment."

Inhale.Exhale.Two.

"You will never escape. This is suffering. This is pain."

Inhale.Exhale.Three.

"You will nev... This is... Thi..."

Inhale.Exhale.Four.

"Y... Th... T..."

Inhale.Exhale.Five.

"..."

Inhale.Exhale.Six.

Inhale.Exhale.Seven.

"YOU WILL DIE. YOU WILL DIE. YOU WILL DIE!!!!!"

Inhale.Exhale.Eight.

"Maybe this place is not that bad and I..."

Inhale.Exhale.Nine.

"NEVER ESCAPE. DIE. NO E..."

Inhale.Exhale.Ten.

I would be lying if I told you that the time passed without a struggle. But it was not a special kind of fight. It was the struggle we all know from procrastination. The difference between you and him is you can run into Instagram. The only place Max could run to is emptiness – the same emptiness that holds the sound of death. So, Max was glad about his newfound motivation, even if only for the sake of running from emptiness.

Like this, he continued and learned to tame his powerful weapon: the mind. He tamed it like you tame a horse. If you give it too much authority, it will go where ever it wants to and throw you down. If you treat it badly and too harsh, It will lose trust in you and will never bond. Slowly, over time, his mind calmed down.

He acquired the ability to draw his mind like a sword. But what's much more impressive is that he was able to put it back whenever he wanted, into the sheath of presence. This ability allowed him to free his mind from the dirt of the past and future, making it razor sharp.

Suddenly, before he could continue his grind, he saw light. After nine-month, finally, there was light. LIGHT! But wait, there's more. Feelings? Breathing? All his senses started to work again. And then it happened. A sharp pain went through his lounges as if he was making his first breath since ever.

It was literally his first breath. He came into life, blinded by the light of a new world, and jumped out of a... vagina?!
