JAYDEN ALEXANDER
I was in my suite when the sounds coming from Victor's suite attracted my attention. Standing on his door step I didn't waste time contemplating my decision to barge in.
The room was a complete disarray of furniture, the lamps and vases broken into pieces on the floor, but Victor didn't seem to care as he continued ransacking the suite like a madman while blood oozed, drenching his shirt sleeve.
I made sure the door was closed, so that no one sees him in this condition, before striding to Victor.
"Victor?" I called as he paused rummaging the drawers, turning to me, his hairs disheveled mess while his greenish brown eyes were blood shot set aflame.
"Give me your phone." He thundered impatiently.
"Phone?" I asked fishing for my phone as Victor snatched it, ignoring my question.
He hammered his fingers against the screen calling someone.
"Why the fuck are you not in my suite?"... "I want you here in two minutes." ... "Bring me that." He roared at the person while I stood hearing the ends of his coversation.
Disconnecting the call he returned my phone retreating to sit on his rumpled bed.
"You can go back Jayden." Victor restrained, anger still radiating off him in waves.
"You need to bandage that." I pointed out at the bloody wound on the back of forearm, before disappearing in the bathroom to find a first aid kit.
I regretted walking out of the bathroom when I was welcomed by the sight of Victor kissing the brains out of a platinum haired girl as she continued uncapping what appeared to be an energy drink for him.
She stilled in her actions, eyeing me up and down like I was a piece of meat she would pounce on. Victor paused and groaned not receiving her response as he backed away, ripping the bottle from her hand and gulping the contents in a go.
The girl sashayed towards me jutting and swaying her hips delibrately to attract my attention as I averted my gaze from her.
"I'll take care of Victor." I was disgusted with her lust filled voice as she extended her hand, trying to touch mine.
"Jayden she is Violet, my equerry."
Well she looked more like a whore.
Although Victor's anger had seemingly decipated but it was evident he wasn't in a mood for a conversation. Wordlessly I walked out of his suite, uncomfortable and agitated by the looks Violet was throwing at me.
Returning to my room, I ordered the room service to clean the mess Victor created once he left the room.
Two days later in the evening, during dinner as we sat on the terrace facing the ocean as the sound of waves hitting the shores filled the salty humid air.
"What were you searching that afternoon?" I quizzed when Victor seemed in his normal mood.
"My phone." He replied downing the glass of scotch in a gulp.
"Where did you lose it?"
"Get another bottle of scotch." Victor seethed at the waiter standing near the door, ignoring my question.
"Any special occasion to get drunk?" I was careful with my words not knowing what would trigger him.
I was dejected as he continued ignoring me, downing one glass after other. Victor was like a sleeping Vulcano, anger bubbling in his depths like lava ready to burn anyone.
The dinner went on with silence . I decided to get my answers some other day when Victor finally spoke.
"Queen Mathilde must have ordered her puppets to take my phone away. She didnt want me to take Violet along on this trip." He started in his clipped tone.
"You must have lost your phone somewhere on the beach." I tried reasoning with him.
"There was no telephone in my suite. how many suites have you visited that lacked telephones? The Queen of Edenway loves controlling my life even when she is miles away from me." A dark chuckle escaped his lips.
I nodded, withholding the decision of talking about his conduct for tonight.
"How's our Belle?" Victor asked deflecting the conversation from its previous deletrious route.
"She is doing well. Though she remembers almost nothing I managed to befriend her." An expectant smile replaced Victor's usual frown as he urged me to share details about Rosaleigh.
Back in our childhood Rosaleigh always bonded with him during our playing sessions. Victor wasn't as brooding as he is today but he made sure she was under his wing of protection when needed be.

"Victor what's the matter?" I raised my voice over the loud rapacious swishing of wind and screeching of the car from the torture Victor was putting it through by escalating the speed.
We were scheduled to drive to Vence to visit the Cathedral of Saint Mary and meet the political head to support our cause against dictators until Victor had a change of plan and started driving like a madman. He acted on his impulse which most of the time ended bad on his account. Currently he was torturing the car through the rough stony valley road.
"Victor for the love of God, limit the car's speed." I cautioned as the car bumped and skidded a sharp turn. His unusual ordeal started after he received a text from what appeared to be Edenway's head of foreign affairs leaving me little to no clues about why Victor was so furious.
I exhaled with relief as the car came to an abrupt stop. I looked around to find us in the middle of nowhere, for just the quiet greens overshadowed from the phlegmatic tall mountains at both side.
The sudden stop caused my body to surrender into the numbness due to the lack of the motion beneath my feet. The humming feeling of the tingles all over me while the whiny revving of the car's engine accompanied by Victor's grunts of frustration attracted my attention.
Black smoke evaded the hood denoting the car's doom. Victor stormed out, slamming the door on his way as I followed on his heels.
" For once can you not vent your anger on commodities?" I called out from behind, observing the rapid rise and fall of Victor's shoulders.
"Call one of your men, they can ascort you to Vence." Victor replied in a matter of fact.
I was sure the security team would find us in a matter of fact, given that they were following us moments before Victor lost his cool.
"The officials are anticipating two Princes not one." I argued to his back, noticing his hands clenching, unclenching at his side.
The meeting was organized by our intelligence department in order to solidify the proof of our stay in France.
"I am not coming along Jayden." Victor turned to face me, his voice was considerably calm.
"What's the matter?" I was getting habituated to that particular question as Victor had a habit of loosing his cool every 30 minutes. He was a walking furnace.
Wordlessly he shoved the phone he had been clenching like a vice, in my hand as I averted my gaze from his stormy browns to focus on the reason that triggered Victor's foul anger.
Not that the phone displaying a picture of a girl in a green dress gave out answers to my confusion. But I felt like I knew the girl, her dark skin tone giving away the answers as I recalled meeting her at the state balls Mormor conducted for charity. Her father was a member of our council and Duke of Astron, a state in Falcovia.
"Audelia of Astron?" I mumbled, vaguely recalling her name.
How did Audelia cross roads with Victor? As much as I processed from our paltry interactions, she was obedient, well behaved and a perfect example of a Noble Lady.
"Queen Mathilde chose her to marry me." Victor blustered, answering my unvoiced question.
I was aware of Aunt Mathilde's hunt to find a suitable match for him as Victor was to celebrate his 26th birthday next month.
"I've met Audelia few times. She is obedient, diligent and an honourable Lady. She'll make a good wife for you." I asserted revising my earlier thoughts.
Victor did nothing but scoff at my words as if he wasn't interested to know details of the girl who would walk down the aisle as his bride.
"You love Violet?" I asked incredously, feeling disgusted by the sole thought of her.
"You can't think of marrying a girl who offers herself to everything that can poke her between her legs." I added, not giving him a chance to reply as he made his way back to the car to retrive the steel bottle he always drank juice from.
"I wont marry this girl whatever her name is." Victor ignored my protest, gulping the contents of the bottle in a go, like always. A sly smile played on his lips. Heavens forbid what kind of devil's plan he was coming up to steer clear of the marriage arrangement.
"Besides Violet's just a good fuck. If not for Belle I would have let her have her ways with you." Victor smirked as I ignored him, moving towards the cars emerging from the distance.
