Chereads / Uppercut part 1:Under city / Chapter 30 - Chapter 30- End

Chapter 30 - Chapter 30- End

A man was walking through a destroyed village.

A village surrounded by trees however most were burned down.

Everyone in the village was dead, their houses burned and their cattle were taken.

He was wearing a blue robe, his hair tied in a ponytail.

He started to shed tears for them and gathered up the bodies.

There were over 100 people in this small village.

He buried each of them and placed a flower on top of each one.

He bowed his head and raised it back up.

"You can come out now, I won't harm you."

From the left of him, a small boy came out of the forest.

He was soaking wet and looked extremely tired.

"How did you know I was there?"

The man turned toward the boy and answered his question.

"I have a very strong sense.

How did you manage to survive, young man?"

"My mother hid me in a tree and drove them by using herself as bait."

"I see."

The man went to a grave on the far left.

He knelt in front of it and put his hand on it.

"This one is her, come and speak with your mother."

The boy took a step back and was unsure.

"How do you know which one is her?"

"I take it upon myself to memorize the faces of everyone I meet.

I memorized the faces of the people of this village.

The women here looked exactly like you, the two of you had the same eyes.

So when I catch up to the ones who did this, I can let them know that no one else will be hurt and that they can rest.

I cherish every living thing and I want to protect them no matter what."

The boy walked over and knelt next to the man.

"How can we give them peace of mind?

They're dead, they can't see or feel anything anymore."

The man turned towards the boy and pointed to his heart.

"The ones we care about never leave us completely.

They live within us in our souls.

Everyone believes that the world we live in is just a material one.

This couldn't be furthest from the truth.

There are many worlds and places out there.

Just because we can't see them does not mean they are not there.

The people who live on in our souls continue to watch over us and in that way they are truly never gone."

The moon shined down on them as the boy started to tear up.

He looked at his mother's grave and bowed his head.

The two sat there for hours, the man keeping the boy company letting him take all the time he needed.

"Do you mind if I come with you, sir?"

The man patted him on his back and said.

"Of course, young man.

My name is Tanoshi Jocuster but you can call me Blue everyone.

What is your name, young man?"

"My name is Roho, my mother liked that name, it was her father's name."

"Do you not have a surname?"

"I don't like it very much."

Blue chuckled as he picked Roho up and held him in his arms.

"That's fine little Roho.

You may tell me whenever you want to.

Let us be off now."

Blue walked down a path carrying Roho in his arms.

Roho held onto his shirt tightly and buried his fist in his chest.

Roho fell fast asleep, Blue chuckled and held him closer.

Soon the clouds began to cover the night sky.

A dark cloud covered the moon.

Covering everything in a dark shadow.

Nothing could be seen, it was all pitch black.

Until finally the swirling aura all came flying back into Soul.

He stood there with his eyes closed and a smile on his face.

He wore a completely black suit and a red tie.

He opened his black eyes and rubbed his chin.

"I remember that day like it was yesterday.

The day we met and you took me.

You were the father I always wanted.

However once again we stand against each other master.

You always looked for the good in people.

You were too good-natured if only things were different right master?"

Soul raised his arm and pointed at Jack

Jack clenched his fist and grunted in frustration.

"So your soul?"

Soul chuckled and rubbed his neck.

"It's been a while since I had a body all to myself.

Of course, it still needed a few adjustments but it looks better now.

Wouldn't you agree, Uppercut Jack?"

Jack grunted and clenched his fist.

"You bastard, what did you do to Clockwork?!"

"Johnny boy has lost control of his body.

Once you beat the ever-living shit out of him.

He was weak enough for me to take full control.

He may have had all my powers but in the end, he couldn't use them to their fullest.

Such a shame I had such high hopes for him."

Jack took his stance and immediately went into red armor.

"Give Clockwork back his body!"

Soul appeared behind Jack and kicked him into a wall.

"Let's talk a bit.

Like I said it's been a while since I've been able to move a body of my own like this."

Jack grunted as Soul put his hand on Jack's chest and held him against the wall.

"I must say I'm quite impressed with how much you've been using blue armor.

It's one of the most difficult powers to learn.

Blue taught you well but still, it seems that it wasn't enough."

"What are you going on about, you psychopath?"

"Did he tell you nothing?

Shame I guess you're his new favorite.

A long time ago I was master Blue student."

Soul punched Jack in the gut and tossed him across the room.

He appeared over Jack and slammed him into the ground holding him down.

"Did he spout some nonsense about joy and happiness?

About having faith in humanity."

Jack punched Soul in the face but to no avail.

"So what if he did?"

Soul chuckled and lifted Jack up.

"Hmph, I guess it doesn't matter.

Now come on, let's have some fun."

Soul kicked Jack into the wall on their left.

Jack grunted and slowly got up.

Jack was breathing heavily and blood was coming from his arm.

He squared his feet and lifted his arms.

"This guy is a whole different beast from Clockwork.

The amount of negative energy coming off him is so much higher.

I'm not sure if I can win but I have to try.

No matter what, no more giving up."

Jack charged up his red armor and charged towards Soul.

He stopped right in front of him and side jumped to the right.

Jack kicked at him but Soul blocked the blow with little effort.

Jack zoomed all around him continually attacking him.

As the fight raged on, both Fighter and Charlie could sense what was happening.

Fighter put down his teacup and looked at the zeppelin.

Charlie turned his head and looked at it as well.

"So he's been unleashed."

Fighter sipped from his tea and stood up.

"Seems that way."

Soon Gerrit, Sierra, and Jack's family all teleported to the group, thanks to Gerrit's bullet switching ability.

"Thank you for getting us out of there."

Mrs.Clockwork said thanking them.

The two of them nodded.

Gerrit pointed his gun at the airship.

"Alright let's get back up there and help Jack.

I don't know what's happening but Clockwork energy feels different."

"Yeah let's get back up there."

Fighter put his hand over Gerrit's gun and pointed it downwards.

"No one is going up.

Before any of you can complain and start asking dumb questions I'm just gonna explain.

Right now Jack isn't fighting Clockwork anymore he's fighting a being known as Soul.

Jack has something to protect himself from his soul being stolen.

As well as a means to defeat him.

None of you possess anything like that you'd only get in the way.

Possibly even get your soul stolen and make the bastard even stronger.

Soul is stronger than both Vimpart and Arama.

So stay here when the time comes you'll know when your power is needed.

For now, cheer him on."

The group couldn't argue back this is the one time they had seen Fighter fully serious about something.

They all looked towards the zeppelin.

Sierra and anyone else who could sense them began to sense the battle.

To sense their every move.

They could feel Jack zooming around Soul and attacking rapidly.

Jack leapt back and grabbed the chair Clockwork was once sitting in.

He threw the chair at Soul with all his might.

The chair broke off of Soul's body.

Jack appeared behind Soul and punched him.

Soul vanished and was suddenly next to Jack.

Soul punched Jack in the face and started to hit him with a flurry of attacks Jack couldn't keep up.

Soul grabbed Jack's shoulder and threw him into the ceiling of the zeppelin.

Soul threw him so hard Jack was stuck in the ceiling.

Soul reached out with one of his tentacles and grabbed Jack's leg.

He pulled him back down and slammed him into the ground.

Jack slowly stood to his feet and took his stance.

Blood dripped from his head.

Some of the blood got in Jack's hair causing it to turn red.

Soul stood there for a moment and took a closer look at him.

Soul snapped his fingers and laughed a bit.

"Have you ever considered dying your hair red?

I think it would look good."

Jack threw a punch and hit Soul square in the face.

"Just me then? Okay."

Soul kicked Jack in the chest and sent him flying into the door.

"Let's play a game shall we."

Out front of Soul's shadow comes hundreds of shadow beings.

Some big, some small, all with yellow eyes.

A chair made from his aura appear.

Soul sat in it and crossed his legs.

"Let's see how this pans out."

Jack stood to his feet and saw the beings coming toward him.

Jack could see they weren't very fast, they didn't seem strong either.

"These must be extensions of Soul.

Which means blue fist should work on them effectively."

Jack waited until one was in front of him.

He switched to blue fist and threw his punch.

Just before his punch landed he heard the being cry out.

"Help me."

Jack stopped his punch and jumped over it.

He landed on the other side of the room and stood to his feet.

His eyes widened as he realized what exactly they were.

"These aren't just extensions of Soul.

Their people he's taken the souls of and trapped them with himself."

The beings all slowly began to walk towards Jack.

"I couldn't hear them until now.

Not until I went into blue fist.

I can hear them all crying out to me.

Asking for help, crying out in terror."

Jack felt something grab his leg.

He looked down and saw a shadow that looked like a child.

"Mister, please help me."

Jack clenched his fist as suddenly he could feel his leg starting to burn.

Jack slipped out of the being's grasp.

He jumped onto the ceiling and grabbed onto a pipe.

Soul looked up and laughed.

"What's wrong can't bring yourself to hurt them, can you?

Clockwork was right, you really are too much of a goodie, goodie."

The shadow beings began to climb up the walls and up towards Jack.

As they did he could hear them all crying out.

"Help me, help me, help me, help me, help me, help me, help me, help me, help me, help me, HelP mE, hELp Me, HELP ME, HELP ME, HELP US PLEASE!!"

Jack looked around and didn't see any escape routes.

Jack punched the ceiling and started his way up.

Jack kept going until he had reached the top of the zeppelin.

Jack fell on one knee and started to take deep breaths.

He could hear clapping behind him.

"I must say it's a nice night out.

Wouldn't you agree you don't have many views like these?"

Jack stood to his feet and looked at Soul with determination in his eyes.

"I promise to all of you.

To every person trapped inside, I will free you no matter what!"

Soul started to laugh, he laughed so hard tears started to form.

"You?! Oh please don't make me crack a rib from laughing too much!

You think that just because you work hard and have faith in yourself you can beat me?!"

Jack smiled and took his stance.

"That's exactly why I'm gonna beat you.

I won't lose to a guy like you.

Someone who thinks everyone else is beneath them."

"You're such a hero type.

I'll save the innocent and protect the weak.

You and all the rest never could understand.

You're all so short-sighted to what needs to be done."

"Short-sighted you say.

Maybe, maybe not.

The road I walk isn't any easy one and it will definitely be a hard one.

Once I do remember my past I'm not sure what will happen next.

However, I'm sure of one thing.

I want to live, everyone down there wants to live and the people in you want to live as well.

They want to be free from their torment.

I don't care what your reasons are.

We can stand here all day and you can try to get me on your side."

Jack pointed to his heart and adjusted his hat.

"Yeah, I'm the hero type of guy.

It doesn't matter what form it takes or how many of them there are.

I fight evil no matter what form it takes.

You use innocent lives like their pawns in your games.

Any world where innocent lives are sacrificed to make it is one I'll never be part of."

Jack took his hand off his heart and took his stance.

His red aura started to burn hotter than ever before.

Soul chuckled and smiled.

"So be it, hero."

Soul started to walk towards Jack.

Jack started to walk towards Soul.

The two slowly began to pick up speed.

They started to jog and then eventually started to run at each other.

They both started to shout at the top of their lungs.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The two leapt at each other and clashed fists creating a huge shockwave.

Soul moved quickly and kicked Jack in his right side.

Jack grabbed his leg and spoke to the red armor itself.

"I know you have to hide yourself to protect me.

Just this once I need you to let me use your power to its fullest.

If I can stun him for even a moment.

To buy some time to think.

I don't care what happens to my body, let me use the fullest extent of red.

For as long as I can bear it."

Everything froze as Jack felt a hand on his shoulder.

The lady with the fox mask appeared and nodded.

"Always so reckless.

Fine, I'll grant your request, however, you won't be able to use it for long.

To keep your body from suffering any major injury, I'll only let it go for ten seconds."

"That's all I'll need."

The red fire mark on Jack's arm all formed together and took the shape of a Fox.

The red aura above Jack's head formed together and made the face of a Fox.

Soul looked up and was completely baffled.

"What the!"

Jack pulled his left fist back and punched Soul as hard as could.

"RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!"

Jack sent Soul flying and dashed behind him and started to unleash an onslaught of attacks.

Jack punched Soul in the gut and then right in his face.

All Soul could do was take the punches.

"What's happening?

His speed jumped up so much and the heat is even hotter than before.

This feel is much different than that red armor, yet it still is."

The Fox in Jack's aura grew to the size of an elephant.

It bit down on Soul and flew him up into the air.

Jack pulled his fist behind his waist and charged up his attack

The Fox spun around and came charging back down.

"RED FOX UPPERCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!!"

The uppercut collided with Soul's face.

Creating a giant red explosion that looked like a fox.

The top of the zeppelin was covered in smoke and flame.

It slowly died down as Soul stood to his feet.

His body was burned all over, he covered himself in the black aura and healed himself.

"That was a neat trick uppercut?

Come on out and let's see you do that again!

Come on Uppercut if you don't come out I'll go down there and take their souls.

You best hurry before I lose my patience."

Jack was resting on the wing of the zeppelin, catching his breath.

"It seems even using red at its fullest won't deal any lasting damage."

In the corner of Jack's left eye, he saw a blue petal fall.

He looked to his left and saw Blue standing there looking up at the night sky.

"Master Blue please, tell me how to use your power so that I can end this."

Blue looked at Jack and shook his head.

"I'm sorry but to use my power you must find your way to it."

Jack stood there for a moment and chuckled.

"Figures as much hehe.

Did you used to be his master?"

"I was, back then he was still quite human.

I took him in and trained him.

Cared for him, loved him like my own.

Our paths lead us down different roads.

Jack when you go back to face him just remember the things that matter."

Blue faded away as Jack took a deep breath and climbed back on top.

He stood far away from Soul.

Soul turned around and saw him standing there.

"Hmph, there you are.

I'm guessing whatever that was, it was only temporary.

Other wise I'm pretty sure you would've kept on hitting me.

I say we put an end to this little game of ours."

Jack took a deep breath and ripped his jacket off.

In the blink of an eye, Soul was in front of Jack.

Soul kicked Jack up into the sky and pulled him back down with one of his tentacles.

He punched Jack in the gut and sent him flying across the zeppelin.

He grabbed Jack's leg and pulled him.

Soul held his arm out and lariated Jack into the ground.

Jack coughed and groaned in pain.

Soul gathered up his aura and made a black dagger.

He stabbed Jack in the shoulder and held him down.

"That's it, this should do the trick."

Jack tried to push him off but Soul was too strong.

Soul tossed Jack over towards the edge of the zeppelin.

One step backward and Jack would fall back to the island.

Suddenly Jack felt a sharp pain in his shoulder, the dagger disappeared and Jack's veins started to turn black.

Half of his left started to turn black and his teeth began to turn to fangs.

"What did you do to me?"

"It took a while but it seems the negative energy finally got to you.

Soon you'll be overflowing with it and the user of black armor will be awakened.

With full control over your body, his full powers will be restored.

Come forth master of black armor, let us continue the work we started all those years ago.

My master, your brother is no longer here to stop us.

It's time to finish our work."

Jack groaned in pain as he activated blue armor to fight off black.

Jack grabbed his head and fell to his knees.

"Get out, get out, get out, get out of my head!"

Jack screamed as his left erupted with a black aura and his right with blue.

The black slowly began to overpower the blue.

Soul pulled his arm back and charged his energy into a small ball.

"COME NOW JACK YOU CAN'T FIGHT FOREVER, YOUR FALL IS INEVITABLE!!"

Soul laughed as he launched the attack at Jack.

Jack grabbed his hat and poured his energy into it.

Creating a blue shield holding the attack off.

"I can't hold off both Soul's attack and black armor at the same time.

If Soul's attack hits me I'll be overwhelmed with negative energy and turn into Black and

If I don't do something about Black taking over I'll still turn into Black."

Charlie and Fighter could sense Jack's struggle.

Charlie started to walk forward when Fighter stopped him.

"What are you doing Fighter?

Something has to be done or we'll lose Jack."

"He'll be fine, you haven't seen him in action like me.

When it comes down to it he always pulls through.

Hmph, but if you're bored and looking for a fight I'd be more than happy to take you on."

Charlie looked Fighter in the eyes.

"Damn you Fighter."

Charlie crossed his arms and continued to watch.

"Good boy, I would've choked you with a coffee muffin.

It may have stunted your growth."

"That's not how that works."

"Huh weird."

The two continued to watch and sense the fight.

The overwhelming negative energy slowly began to over the blue.

Jack kept his hands up holding back Soul attacks with all his strength.

His feet started to slip, he was being pushed more towards the edge.

Soul laughed and mocked Jack.

"See boy there's nothing you can do just accept it."

Soul increased the power of his attack pushing more and more towards the edge.

Until finally he slipped and started to fall.

Jack started to fall from the ship.

He reached out trying to grab onto something.

"I can't let it end here, there's still so much I have to do.

So much more I want to tell them.

If I don't do it here, when will I?

Blue said to focus on the important things."

Jack closed his eyes and fell through the sky.

Everything slowed down for Jack and he let himself feel the energy inside himself.

Suddenly Jack could hear voices in his head.

All calling out to him.

He heard could Sierra.

"Jack, I don't know if you can hear me but.

If you can come back to me, you big dumb idiot."

He could head Mrs.Clockwork

"You can do it, my son."

He could hear Gerrit as well.

"Come on you idiot get back up there"

Loki was calling out to him too.

"Don't you Dare lose, we made a promise, remember."

"I can hear all of them.

Sierra, Mom, Gerrit, Loki, Dani, Jessica, Tucker.

Everyone is calling out to me.

I can see their faces.

I can see them smiling and I'll protect those smiles.

Not just theirs, everyone on this island, the whole world if I have to.

Don't you worry mom I'll be bringing back your husband.

I don't know if you can hear me but I love you guys."

Jack took a deep breath and opened his eyes.

"Because you guys are my joy."

A blue petal flew past Jack's face as the blue aura completely pushed back the black.

Jack was surrounded in the blue aura that moved like wind.

His right arm gained a blue wind pattern and his left eye shined blue.

Jack spun around and pointed his feet downward.

Using blue wind power he flew himself back and landed on the zeppelin.

Soul's eyes widened as he was shocked at Jack's sudden awakening of blue.

"I-impossible, how did you manage it?!

How did you manage to be able to use his power?!"

Jack stood up straight and fixed his hat.

"I don't think you ever understood Soul.

What the true joys of life are like, I cherish every little thing.

It's because the small moments are precious.

Even if it's just playing in the snow, sitting by someone's side, going to a carnival, hanging out on a boat.

That's just another part that makes us human.

I won't let those moments go, cause those feelings are stronger than the anger I feel towards you."

Soul grunted but it soon turned to a smile.

"Hmph don't bluff with me kid.

I can sense your strength, you're not nearly as strong as me!"

Jack chuckled and took his stance.

"You're right I'm not but we are.

Right everyone!"

Suddenly everyone on the island could hear Jack's voice in their head.

"Help me now in this fight together and only together can we take down Soul are you with me?!"

Sierra put her arm up and smiled.

"Of course."

Blue aura surrounded her and her connection to Jack grew.

Soul charged at Jack at full speed.

Jack put his hand next to his waist and a blue sword appeared.

Jack slashed and appeared behind Soul.

Cuts formed all over Soul's body.

Soul stood there for a moment to heal his body.

"No, no, no, no.

Not again this can't happen again!"

Soul turned around and thrusted tentacles at Jack.

Jack felt another surge of power as Loki put his fist up.

Jack's speed increased exponentially, dashed around, and appeared behind Soul.

He hit Soul with a rush of attacks and sent him flying.

Jack got another surge as Gerrit put his arm up.

Jack spun around and made a sniper rifle.

He fired the shot right through Soul's chest.

Soul crashed along the zeppelin roof and started to quickly heal himself.

More and more people all began to put their fists up.

"I can hear them, Soul, everyone down has a dream.

I can hear the souls you've taken longing for freedom.

I promised them I would free them and I intend on keeping that promise."

Soul grunted as he launched more tentacles at Jack.

Jack rushed forward dodging every one of them.

He punched Soul in the side, when he did Soul glowed blue and the souls he had taken started to fly away.

Each of them said to Jack.

"Thank you."

Soul grunted as he flew up into the air throwing out more and more attacks.

Jack dashed back and flew up into the air.

Jack flew around Soul, Soul kept swinging his tentacles trying to hit Jack.

Jack flew up behind Soul and kicked him up into the air.

Jack flew up and continued to punch him further and further up.

They went above the clouds, Jack grabbed Soul, turned him towards the ground, and started punching him back down towards the zeppelin.

With each punch, Jack would release more and more souls.

The two came crashing down onto the zeppelin.

They hit it so hard that it started to tilt downwards.

"I can't give them back their bodies, but there's one person I can give their life back to."

Jack plunged his fist into Soul's chest.

Soul tried to get Jack off.

"No don't you dare, he's mine you can't take him away.

His life belongs to me."

"His life is his own, your days of taking advantage of others are over."

Jack reached into the depths of his Soul until he found him.

Clockwork was sitting in a black space with no one around he was completely alone.

"Clockwork!"

Clockwork looked behind himself and saw Jack reaching out to him.

"Take my hand Clockwork!"

Clockwork turned around and started to run, he reached his hand.

Reaching out to Jack.

"Jack!"

Jack reached further and Clockwork stretched his arm out as far as he could.

Until finally Jack pulled Clockwork out of Soul.

Jack kicked Soul away and Clockwork fell to his knees.

Clockwork turned to Jack and looked up at him.

"Jack, you have to make sure he doesn't merge with me or the kids.

Without a host, he won't be able to survive."

Jack looked over his shoulder and smiled.

"Don't worry Clockwork, we'll take care of this."

Clockwork chuckled and sat back.

"Hmph, right I almost forgot who I'm dealing with."

"Stay here, I'll be right back."

Jack slowly walked towards Soul who was falling apart.

"You utter piece of human fucking trash.

How dare you!

I don't care if it takes every last soul I have.

I'll kill you and everyone on this shitty island!"

Soul flew up and summoned every soul he had into one giant orb the size of the island itself.

He threw it down towards Jack.

Jack chuckled and put his arm next to his waist.

"Everyone let's do this!"

The entire island glowed blue as everyone put their fist next to their waist.

"You fight alone Soul, it doesn't matter how many souls you have or how many you take.

A power like this is beyond anything you possess."

All the aura below all swirled together as everyone punched upward.

"This is our power Soul, this is our."

Every person on that island shouted at the top of their lounges.

As loud as they could and then some

"UUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEERRRRRCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTT!!!"

The aura all swirled together into a giant blue tornado.

It turned the attack Soul launched blue and released all the souls.

Each of them saying.

"Thank you."

As they flew up into the sky.

Soul was swept up by the attack and was spinning around it.

Jack flew up it and punched Soul in the chest and flew him higher and higher until they were above the clouds.

"I-impossible, how can this be? How could someone like you beat me?!"

Soul started to crack apart as blue lines covered his body.

Jack kept going higher and higher.

"Sorry Roho but it's time to end this."

Souls eyes widen as Jack started to glow even brighter.

"RRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHH!

UNISOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN

UPPPPPERCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!"

The attack unleashed a giant exploding blue tornado.

Everything turned white for Soul

As he could see Blue standing before him.

"Hmph come to gloat.

Tell me I was wrong, tell me I was a fool.

Go on, tell me what a huge disappointment I was, what a disgrace I was for joining him!"

Blue walked up and hugged him.

"I'm going to miss you, my son."

Roho started to tear and clenched his fist.

"Why? why don't you hate me damn it?"

Blue held him tighter and started to cry.

"I could never hate you.

I was sad that it all happened, that I had failed you.

That's why I couldn't kill you, I loved you so much that I had to leave it to a future generation to take you down.

I'm sorry I failed you Roho. I hope one day we can meet again."

Roho stopped clenching his fist and chuckled.

"I doubt that after everything I've done I'll be going to heaven.

Still, I'm glad I got to see you one last time before my time.

Goodbye Father."

Soul slowly faded away as Blue felt him disappear.

"Goodbye Son."

Blue turned around and walked away.

The white faded away and he was standing face to face with Jack.

"Thank you, Jack."

Jack nodded and fixed his hat.

"Don't mention."

"So um you might want to find someone who can catch you.

Since you've exhausted yourself and used up all your power."

"Say what?"

Suddenly Jack felt himself entering free fall.

"Why do these always end with me falling?!"

Sierra leapt up into the air and caught him.

She landed back on the top of the colosseum with Jack in her arms.

"What did I tell you about being reckless?"

Jack chuckled as he stood to his feet.

"Well, ya know it's kind of a bad habit of mine.

Plus I didn't promise anything so you can't-"

Sierra grabbed his shirt and pulled him in closer.

"Shut up and kiss me already."

Jack wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her.

Sierra wrapped her arms around his neck and stood on one foot.

They stopped kissing and put their foreheads together.

Jack rubbed her cheek as she held his hand.

Sierra chuckled and smiled.

"Come on, I bet the others are wondering what's going on?"

"Did someone get Clockwork off the zeppelin?"

"Syra did, he should be back on the ground any second now."

"Then they can wait five minutes."

Sierra chuckled as Jack kissed her.

Syra floated down to the coliseum on a purple platform.

Clockwork was riding down with her.

The two landed and Clockwork bowed his head.

"Thank you, miss."

Syra looked at him and stuck a lollipop in her mouth.

She gave him a thumbs up and walked away.

Clockwork looked around and saw Mrs.Clockwork slowly approaching him.

Clockwork looked down at the ground in shame.

As She walked up and stood right in front of him.

"Sarah, I know that you'll probably never forgive me.

I just you want to know that."

She reached out and grabbed his face.

She held his head up and looked him in the eyes.

"Welcome back John."

Fireworks started to go off and John let out a big smile.

John started to tear up as did Sarah.

John kissed her hand and started to cry.

"I've missed you so much, my dear."

Sarah grabbed his hand and brought him over to Jessica and George.

John gulped and took a step forward.

Jessica took a step back, still holding George tightly.

"I know that I haven't been around and I know that you probably hate me.

I'm sorry for everything and I hope that a day comes when you can forgive me and give me the chance to be the father I've always wanted to be."

Jessica turned, looked down, and didn't say anything at first.

"I-if you come to one of my concerts maybe I'll let you take me out to breakfast."

John's eyes widened as he smiled and laughed.

"Of course, I will Bunny."

George looked at him and was shy at first.

John walked over and patted his son on the head.

"Good job taking care of your mother and sister."

George giggled as he reached to be held by his father.

John was shocked at first but slowly he held his son.

He held him close as tears began to run down his face.

John fell to his knees and held him close.

"After all this time, I can finally embrace you all."

Sarah knelt in front of him and hugged him.

The fireworks lit up the sky as Jack and Sierra leapt down to the group.

They all embraced each other and started to laugh.

Downercut stood on top of the colosseum with Sasha on his shoulders.

Cero stood and watched them too.

Soon everyone was watching the fireworks.

Fighter lit a cigarette and chuckled.

"Told you to have faith in him."

Charlie chuckled as the two of them watched the fireworks.

"Hmph, how did you know it would all turn out this way?"

Fighter let out a puff of smoke and smiled.

"That's why Jack and I get along so well.

We have faith in people."

"This is only the beginning Fighter, there's still much we have to prepare them for."

"I know but for now.

Let's just enjoy this night."

~2 months later~

Fighter was sitting in his office writing something down.

When he looked at his watch and closed the book.

He got up and headed outside.

In the backyard Jack was wearing a backpack and so was Sierra.

Everyone was out there talking with them.

Fighter came out with sixteen and a half cigarettes in his mouth.

"You ready kiddos???"

Jack chuckled and smiled.

"I'm just gonna finish my goodbyes real quick."

Fighter rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

Jack hugged his mom, sister, and little brother.

"I love you guys, I'll be back before you know it."

Sarah rubbed his cheek and smiled.

"I know, you just take care of yourself okay."

Jack nodded and walked to John and shook his hand.

"I can't thank you enough for giving me this second chance Jack."

"You can thank me by continuing to live it.

Plus some added credit to Fighter for finding a way to keep you out of jail."

John chuckled and smiled.

Jack walked over to Gerrit and hugged him.

"See you around dumbass."

"Not if I see you first, jackass."

Jack knelt in front of Loki, Dani, Tucker, and Syra.

Loki wasn't looking Jack in the eye.

"What's wrong buddy?"

"I just don't like you leaving."

"Fighter said it was for the best.

This way when I start the process remembering everything won't wake up twenty years later.

Plus he has some added training for me."

Sierra knelt next to him and smiled at them.

"That's why I'm going with.

To make sure if anything happens he'll be alright."

Sierra rubbed Syra's cheek and patted their heads.

"You kids look after each other alright."

Loki nodded as they all gave each other a group hug.

Jack and Sierra stood up and walked over to Fighter.

"About the time I was about to cry."

Jack chuckled and asked.

"Really?"

Fighter pulled out a device and started to mess with it.

The group all vanished in a blue light and appeared in a forest.

Jack looked around and took in the fresh air.

"Where are we?"

Fighter started to stretch in very unusual ways.

"A place where once you start you won't end up passing out for years on end.

Now hop to it before I hit you with every lawnmower in the freaking universe."

Jack rolled his eyes and looked at Sierra.

"I guess I'm going in."

Sierra hugged him and Jack hugged her back.

"I'll be here when you get out."

"Good cause you're the first person I want to tell everything to."

Fighter started to shake his hips and make a kissy face.

"Oh look at the little lovebirds.

All lovey and Dovey."

Sierra sighed and let go of Jack.

"You should start now."

Jack laughed and kissed her.

"I'll see you soon."

Jack sat on the ground and crossed his legs.

He took a deep breath and let the positive energy flow through him.

He opened his eyes and saw a door.

He stood up and opened the door.

He walked through the door and entered the room.

He walked through the small room and sat in a chair.

He looked at the man sitting across from him.

Jack smiled and handed him an apple.

"I'm sorry to have kept you waiting

for such a long time, Garen."

Garen chuckled and took the apple.

"I knew you would come back, my old friend.

Did you find the temple we were looking for?"

Jack nodded his head and Garen smiled.

"Will you tell me?"

"Of course my friend I'll tell you everything."

~Epilogue~

A man sitting in a library all by himself pouring through books.

He drank some tea when a portal opened up.

Out of the portal came Zin.

The man looked up and drank his tea.

"What brings you here lord Zin?"

"I've come here for a bit of reading.

I would like access to ancient history logs Mr.Boldenstein."

Boldenstein stood up and buttoned his suit jacket.

"As you wish, follow me."

Boldenstein led Zin throughout the library until they came upon a golden door.

The door had two keyholes on the left and right sides of it.

Zin pulled out a silver key while Boldenstein pulled out a diamond one.

They put the keys in the lock and turned them.

The door disappeared as the two walked inside.

The room was large and the ceiling seemed to go on forever.

In the middle was a giant white orb floating in the middle of the room.

"What would you like to read to your majesty?"

"Anything you have on ITS Mr.Boldenstein."

"Of course, just one moment please."

Boldenstein lifted his hand and waited for the book.

"I see you are here without my little brother this time."

"Yes, Jikan had other duties to attend to."

Boldenstein chuckled as the book came floating down to his hand.

"It's nice to know my brother has found something he can be passionate about.

Speaking of which here you are."

Boldenstein handed the book to Zin.

Zin started to look through the book and read each page diligently.

"Might I ask why the sudden interest in the ITS, my lord?"

"I've recently encountered two ITS.

One not affected by their instinct.

While the other fell victim to it.

I need to know how ITS are born."

"Two you say, fascinating but according to that book you're reading."

Zin closed the book and handed it back to Boldenstein.

"ITS cannot be born only made or turned into."

Boldenstein chuckled and grabbed the book.

"Finished already now are we?"

"I'm a fast reader."

Boldenstein chuckled and took the book.

Zin put his hand on his chin and started to think.

"This can only mean one thing.

The leader of the ITS is alive and is making moves."

"Are you sure, the book tells us he was defeated by the first core user?"

"Defeated, yes not killed.

The book also says that as long as he lives, his children the prince and princess of ITS shall also return.

Currently, the prince is living in my house and is best friends with my daughter.

As for the princess, I'll look into it."

Zin headed for the door and Boldenstein put his arms in his pockets.

"If what you say is true then you'll need him on your side."

Zin chuckled and looked back at Boldenstein.

"On my side or not he'll join the fight.

That's just the kind of person he is."

Zin walked through the door and Boldenstein looked up at the ceiling.

Into that dark abyss the never-ending darkness.

A bright blue glow filled the void.

As Jack walked through the darkness in his blue armor state.

Until he came upon his old dragon armor.

Its right hand was missing as it reached out with its left.

Jack reached out with his right hand

and took it.

The armor looked up at Jack and asked.

"Is it time?"

Jack nodded and smiled.

"Yes, it is."

The armor disappeared and all that was left was a younger version of Jack.

"Good luck."

The young Jack disappeared as Jack started to fall backward.

Jack closed his eyes and fell through the darkness until he landed in a bed.

Suddenly he could hear someone talking to him.

He opened his eyes and saw a young girl with red hair reach down and pick him up out of his cradle.

The girl held him close as Jack looked up at her.

"I've got you Jack big sis Jacklyn gotcha."

"Jacklyn hurry up or you gonna miss it.

Your friend is waiting for you outside."

A voice said in the other room.

"I'm going."

She ran towards the door and opened it.

The sky was purple and there were two moons in the sky.

A boy sat on the front porch waiting for her.

A little girl sat next to him.

"You sure took your time Jacklyn."

"Sorry, Kuro I had to get Jack ready."

"Whatever comes on we better hurry.

Don't want to miss it now do we."

Jacklyn nodded and the three ran through the large city.
