Synopsis

Chapter 1 - ~Prologue~

Year 2039

Bombs fly down from the sky, clattering to the Earth, exploding anything, and anyone that is close by. The air is filled with this thick, black smoke that lingers around like fog.

Children and worried mothers huddle together in cellars and safe spots, but nowhere is safe enough. Running, hiding and finding cover was no good.

No one exactly knew the root cause of how the war started but the rulers from different countries around the world were struggling to handle the impact of the futuristic realm.

Major discoveries were being made, and government whistle-blowers were coming out with  behind the scene secrets that exposed rulers world wide. The pressure was hard enough to keep control of a country as a ruler and with angry citizens, they weren't making things any easier.

Anxiety, adrenaline, fear, pain, sorrow, and anger. Emotions that cannot be contained here. This is World War Three and there isn't much hope for anyone.

A plane swoops in and drops several, tiny explosives just as it gets shot down. Bases turn into ash as quick as the snap of your fingers. Planes clatter down to the earth, tanks flip over, armed men fall to the ground. There's not much time left before the Earth becomes as lifeless as the rest of the planets.

Finally,  on April 9th, 2044, the last bomb hits the earth taking everything left and killing it. That's it. The war was over.

Year 2044

With the very few survivors left, two brothers named Felix and Tobias Lockwood had an idea to save the world. They were one of the richest families to live because of their incredible intelligence.

They created many inventions that helped to change the world like teleportation tubes for travel, reliable vaccines that could help full immunity to cancer and other terminal diseases, and other devices that made the world a better place.

Their brains saved themselves, and basically all human life as well.

They came together and created the Land of Cashron. Sealed in communities to preserve and regenerate life. So many rules, so many precautions and limitations all to keep them alive.  They were all that was left, it was for the best. Or was it?

They traveled around the once United States in search of remaining survivors. In total, they were able to save 300 people. So many were sick, starving and dying right then and there. It took a lot of work to revive them at the same time of trying to create a safe and secure place to help them.

The brothers claimed a large city, abandoned during the war, and surrounded its borders with a wall and electrical fence to prevent people from leaving or entering.

Buildings and sky scrapers were crumbling down piece by piece. Trees had fallen down and leaves were blowing everywhere.  The streets were crushed into concrete blocks.

Souvenir shops that once existed in the tourist town were nothing but a piles of rubble.  The  mountain range and forest surrounding it had wild fires spreading from tree to tree.  A section of the forest was gone and had to be regrown.

The communities were created. There were 5. A,B,C,D and E, not including the capitol.  Each had their own job to keep Cashron running. A were the lumber jacks.  They were the only ones allowed in the forest, and only in a small section.

That community made fire wood, wood for building, furniture etc. B were the farmers.  They grew crops and raised animals to keep our food in check. C took the animal products and used them.  They made clothing and made all of that food produced by B.

D were the builders. They designed and created everything in the communities to keep them built up and safe.  E, well, E was more of the poor community.  The original job was to assist the government, especially in the tech units and other important jobs but they were replaced by people that were specially picked from each community once every 5 years.

Year 2244

In present Cashron,  walls towered up high around the entire city, including lots of the mountains and forests. The electricity coming off would kill a person instantly if they came anywhere close to it.

Futuristic buildings and sky scrapers take over the land. Things have been replaced and fixed to fit the modern frame of today. Hologram projectors and screens blend into the buildings and streets.

Most of the forests were off limits, more like forbidden, as it was dangerous to be out there and the government couldn't control you. You go in the woods, you're considered a goner.  Even if you lived to come back, they would kill you themselves.

Death is taken super seriously.  If you are supposed to be dead and you're not, you had to be killed.

As terrible as it sounds, it kept things in order.  You are considered a rebel for running off, or disobeying any new law. A hero for stopping or reporting rebels. Even the innocent cases.

They created their own education system that was extremely limited.  As time continued on, they got rid of history and science to limit the knowledge of how everything had happened.  All that they knew about Cashron, that it was made to protect them from the dangers of the rest of the world. If you knew the truth and were caught telling it, you get to meet death.

English, writing and math were taught in  grade school.  Depending on the career you were assigned, you went to a specific camp for a month, locked away with nothing but your thoughts and  digital textbooks. Fun, right?

They assigned the person you married and a certain amount of kids you had to have.  Most of the time it was set to five children per household, unless it was altered because of career, illness or some other reason.

They limited technology.  Only the government and technology station could have devices.  The tech station keep the stats of Cashron, ran the holograms and speakers kept in every home to make sure all rules are followed.

Everything was orderly. The government, the citizens themselves and how everything fit together perfectly like a puzzle.  It ran right in every way.

Cashron was a success. Once they had it fully up and settled, Felix and Tobias made a  handwritten document that every President had to sign which ensured that once 200 years had passed when the population has been built up, the gates would be opened for Cashron citizens to start rebuilding the earth.

200 years have passed, and here I am, still stuck behind this wall.
