Ren found himself on a vast grassy plain, in front of him was an empty pond and behind him was a large stone temple. There were purple clouds floating throughout the sky, the first thing he noticed though, was that he was in human form now! Though he was naked. He carefully felt this place.
This was his soul, soul dragons can enter it naturally by using their mind space ability, though normally it is a black void, he suspects that when the dream realm merged with mind space, it changed his soul space. Dream realm was an ability that created a virtual reality and pulled enemies in.
Inside the dream realm the caster has complete control, though it is near impossible for them to pull enemies in stronger than themselves. When it merged with his mind space ability, it removed the ability to pull enemies in, but made it a near perfect defense ability. His soul is comparable to a small world and very resistant to damage and other mental control abilities and spells.
Also, if someone somehow manages to get into his soul, either by way of possession or any other way, well, it will be equivalent to facing a god in their god kingdom. Ren thought for a moment, before a set of purple robes appeared on his body. Satisfied with now being clothed, he looked at the pond before him.
He intuitively knew this was a manifestation of his third ability. He felt for a moment then fell silent. Soul eater ability of soul dragon, and other soul attributed creatures is an absolutely terrifying ability, it allows them to rip a soul from and enemy and eat it to strengthen themselves, also gaining the memories of the soul, though it does have the downside of schizophrenia.
Yet, when it merged with his consciousness eraser ability, which its use is self-explanatory, it removed the ability of gaining the memories, and the ability to rip the soul out of an enemy. Yet, it will absorb free floating souls in the world, including those of the recently deceased. Then it is stored in this soul pond, and it can be used to enhance his level or the level of his abilities.
This is a very perverted ability. He sighed, turning towards the temple, he had no idea why it was here, he did not create it, nor can he affect it with his dream realm ability. Ren looked at it for a moment, before he walked up to it, then started to ascend the stone steps, one by one. Eventually he came to the door of the temple.
It was a plain metal door, he raised his hand and gave a push, the door easily swung open. He peered inside, there was nothing except a raised pedestal, on that pedestal was a black cube, with red exotic text covering it. Ren cautiously made his way towards it. As he stood in front of it, his heart beat quickly.
He slowly reached out and grabbed it, the moment he touched the cube, a shudder went throughout his soul, then an information stream came through his mind. This cube was a damaged artifact named 'The Lexicon', and it was the 'meteorite' that killed him, it did so because it was the most compatible person it could find.
As for why he had to die, it was because the world he lived in was too weak, and he himself was too weak, and it was impossible to recover in that world, so using its remaining power, it found the most suitable world and body it could, which was the body of this hybrid dragon, and it even used its energy to get the 6 specific talents and merge them.
Ren stood with mixed thoughts, his mind thinking to the knowledge about artifacts that he received from his dragon inheritance, it wasn't much, but that it was the highest tier of item that even gods covet. Currently though, the lexicon only has two abilities, digitization and knowledge storage.
As he held the lexicon, the stone temple started to crumble around him, he quickly made his way out and turned around, to see the temple turn to dust. He sighed, knowing he could no longer go back to his old life. He held the lexicon, it is now connected directly to his soul, and all its abilities can be used.
It also explained in depth that the way to repair it to gain more abilities lied in soul energy, hence why it created the soul pond ability. So he lightly tossed the lexicon and let it float above the soul pond and returned back to his body. Ren shook his draconic body, then felt a burst of hunger.
He turned his head and glanced at the egg, thinking back to his earlier thoughts before he broke his shell, he was a bit ashamed, he crawled over to the egg and took a tentative bite. His eyes lit up, the shell tasted a bit like milk crackers, and not nearly as gross as he thought it would.
He quickly snapped up the remaining shell bit by bit. He finally felt full, after that he felt tired, he looked around at the place he was born. It was a small yet deep cave, and if you carefully sensed, it was filled with a thick dragon aura, most likely left over from his parents when he was stuffed here.
He crawled a bit deeper into the cave and then fell asleep. It was a hazy dream, of him saying goodbye to his family, telling them that he had a new chance at life, and not to worry over his death. He hugged his wife and patted his children on the heads. They all had one last get together as a family.

Ren woke up around 10-12 hours later, feeling really relaxed, though a bit confused, dream dragons were supposed to be lucid dreamers. He just chalked it up as having an alien soul, though he did feel a bit of peace. He got up and stretched his body and then froze, he felt his body was noticeably different than before.
The cave around him felt smaller, which means he got bigger, he slowly combed through the dragon inheritance and understood, during their first year of life, dragons grow fast, very fast, and only after a year do they enter a very slow growth period.
He now was about the size of a full grown wolf, and would continue to grow until about the size of an elephant, and then after a year, it will not even be an inch a year in size increase unless some events happen. He shook his head, his stomach already growling. During their growing stages, dragons not only have to eat meat, they also have to eat metals.
Ren crawled out of the cave and twitched his wings a little excited about trying to fly for the first time. He stood, then made a running start, then jumped.
