The Man City players celebrated there second goal together as the liverpool players urged the referee to hurry the Man City players and begin the match.
After the celebrations the Liverpool players hurriedly kicked off as they tried to quickly score an equaliser.
Man City was now more focused on their defense as even Tony was now positioned where a defensive midfielder was meant to be. The whole of the Man City players had dropped deeper into there half and even the striker of the team was now basically a midfielder.
They defended effectively while also looking for opportunities to also go on the counter. Tony who had been running from one position to the other trying to either counter or to help his teammates in defending was now very tired which led to him being substituted.
At the 70th minute Coach Taylor made a double substitution as Tony was subbed off for a defensive midfielder and a midfielder on the team that had also been showing signs of being tired was subbed off for a central defender.
It showed Coach Taylor's intention of holding out and defending there narrow win for the remaining minutes of the match.
Tony shaked his teammates on the bench after he was substituted as he joined them in watching the match. Man City continued to narrow the attacking spaces of Liverpool as they tried to defend there lead successfully. They were mainly focused on defending and occasionally sending some of the players on counter once they got hold of the ball.
Tony who was now on the bench could only pray that his teammates continued defending well as he needed his team to win the game for him to copy the stamina skill from the match.
The game continued as around the 79th minute Man City used there last substitution in replacing the right winger of the team with another right winger as they looked for fresh players who were fast and could easily hit Liverpool on the counter. John who was an unused substitute could only watch in silence from the bench.
The game continued with Liverpool continuing to throw players on the attack and Man City sticking to there defense, with Liverpool only seeing some half chances and very few good chances to score which were all defended properly by Man City
Around the 88th minute the Man City striker got his hat trick as the right winger who was substituted into the match got a chance to run into the liverpool half from a counter.
The Man City striker also tried to keep up with the pace of the winger as he ran into the box along with the winger as he constantly made himself available for a pass.
When the winger who had now ran into the box of Liverpool was finally closed down by a defender, he quickly passed the ball to the striker who was positioned to his left.
The striker recieved the ball and promptly sent a placed shot into the bottom right corner of the post away from the outstretched fingers of the Liverpool goalkeeper.
Immediately the ball went in the striker ran off in celebration and even removed his shirt as he celebrated his hat trick. The fans were estatic as they shouted in joy while the other players of man city joined the striker to celebrate.
Tony and the Man City players and staffs on the bench were also very happy as they also jumped up and hugged each other in celebration. The goal unofficially guaranteed their win as there was little time for Liverpool to get back square.
The striker was given a yellow card for removing his shirt before the game resumed finally resumed. The Liverpool players were now dejected by the two goal gap as they passed the ball amongst themselves in a lackluster manner.
After the two additional minutes had elapsed the referee blew the whistle to end the match with Man City having a come from behind lead of 3:1 to win the match.
The man city players jumped into celebration at the final whistle as they were happy they finally got the win against one of the potential league winners this season.
The fans clapped for the man city players as they celebrated the win against a top opponent.
The Man City players congratulated each other and sympathized with the Liverpool players they came across. Tony also congratulated his teammates and sympathized with the Liverpool players before he looked towards where his parents were seated and waved towards them.
He then looked around and also located where his friends were seated and waved towards them as they also saw him waving and waved back.
After waving he went back to the locker room to shower and change his clothes as Coach Taylor entered the locker room looking very happy as he congratulated every player.
"What a match! I have to say that I am really proud of all of you and your developments this season. This early in the season and you guys have produced wonderful performances, keep it up and continue to prove your worth like this through out the season and we could easily win the league." Coach Taylor congratulated the players as he appeared to be in a pretty joyous mood.
"No training tomorrow since we do not have a midweek cup match this week, so rest and prepare for training on Monday." He said before dismissing the players.
Tony and John happily went towards his car as John appeared happy about the win but a little disappointed that he wasn't involved in the match. Tony noticed it but decided to say nothing as it was part of being a team player.
Tony checked his phone along the way to his car and saw that he had a missed call from the real estate agent. He decided he would call her when he got home as he drove to go drop John off at his house before he then drove home.
When he got home his parents congratulated him on the win as he thanked them, after they chatted for a while he later went upstairs to his room.
