"Is Code here already?"
"I'm here."
Nate turns towards the stairs, seeing that the guy from downstairs had taken his seat at the other end of the table. He turns to Clary, who's the only one standing by the whiteboard as Lynn assists her in placing it towards the group. She claps her hands twice, to which everyone gives their attention to her. He nearly laughs, it's like they're trained like dogs.
"Alright, as you all know, we have a new member to the team today." She says, motioning towards Nate. "He's Ignatius Kron, you may call him Nate. As today is a formal introduction, all of us will be introducing ourselves in order."
Mumbles and noises of agreements were heard from the people around him, and he could only smile politely.
"I'm Rosaline Clarielle Albeon, the president of EONS as well as the editor in chief." She introduces, placing a hand on her chest as she does so. "Welcome to the team, Nate. You can just call me Clary."
"Or madam." One guy calls out, to which she glares at.
The blond girl stands, repositioning her glasses on her face. With a sigh, she introduces, "I'm Monique Salve Blanc, nice to meet you. You may call me Mon, and I am the assistant editor. Basically Clary's secretary, but we all know that's a joke."
The others snicker at this, and Mon sits down with a smirk directed towards the brunette. Clary rolls her eyes, motioning for the group to carry on with the introduction. The next to stand is Lynn, smiling slightly at Nate.
"You already know me, but for the sake of the meeting, I am Analyn Portua, you may just call me Lynn. I am a News Editor, much like you are." She introduces, sitting back down.
The next to stand is the guy who he encountered in Clary's office one time, crossing his arms over his chest as he grins, "The name's Vincente Kristof Merlo, nice to meet'cha. I'm the Sports Editor, all 'cause my extra-curricular be Kinesia."
"I'm next, aren't I?" says Pol next to him, turning towards the newcomer and smiling, "My full name is Juanito Marko Leopoldo Marino y Martinez. Everyone just calls me Pol."
"Name's as long as his height, bet'cha didn't see that comin'." Chen snickers, only for Clary to pointedly glare at him again.
"Hi, I'm Kielo Iiris Jarvinen! You may just call me Iris, I'm an Extras editor, which is basically just Valnix Main gossip and such. Editorials, you know?" A curly blonde girl introduces, raising her hand. Nate is surprised from her bubbly attitude, he was sure that she'd be as stoic as the other blond. She smiles at him, saying, "Welcome to the team, Nate! You'll be in for a ride."
Once again, the others snicker at her words, but he doesn't understand why.
"While those are the main editors, the others at the team handle other things that has to do with the org." Clary speaks up, a hand motioning to someone else. The light haired guy from earlier lets out a sigh, standing up.
"I'm Shura Sokolovsky, Shura's just f'ne. I'm the lead inf'rmant of the team. I p'st applications on whichever articles are needed to be wr'tten, as well as do the f'ct checking through research." He explains, hands deep into his hoodie's pockets. "If there are any inf'rmation you need, I'll be sure to get it for you."
"Aww, isn't that nice of Insurance?" Chen calls out, to which he receives another pointed glare from the President. He snickers at this, turning to the next member to speak up.
"I'm Makisig Mendoza, you may just call me Maki." The dark-skinned guy introduces, lightly bowing his head. "I'm the lead photographer, being the one to choose which photos are perfect for any article. I collaborate with Shura on which photos are needed to be taken."
"Maki and Shura might have the most important roles in the org, as they're the ones bringing in content for us to publish." Clary explains, though her eyes narrow in the slightest. Nate found this intimidating, slowly realising that there's something more to the club than he knows. She turns to the next persons, smiling, "And for the last part of our team."
A black haired girl stands up, her eyes narrow but you could see that she was Hacrene at how her eye colour is more obvious. Just from her appearance, he guesses that she comes from Nairiel. She bows, introducing herself, "My name is Kye Min-Ae, please just call me Mina. I am the lead publisher of the team, to which I manage the publishing of the weekly school papers to be given away to students of Valnix."
She sits back down, the way she does causing him to feel conflicted. While Mina exudes grace and beauty, he could tell that from her form that she is quite buff. He shrinks down in his chair, feeling intimidated just from realising her presence.
"While Mina is the publisher, I'm the one who handles the organization's webpage," speaks up the guy from earlier, Code. He smiles, introducing himself, "I'm Marco Averell, just call me Code. If you need to post some announcement on the page, just contact me."
"Last and not the least, we have our very own Graphic designer!" Iris exclaims, extending a hand to the girl at the other end of the table from Clary. Nate turns to look, and it was the girl who was at the computer stations earlier. She sighs, standing up.
"My name is Eirika Kathlin Lorenzen." She introduces, arms crossed against her chest. Despite the knowing look she had, Nate couldn't really help himself.
"Lorenzen? Like- Like the owners of the Lorelysium restaurant?" He asks, wonder twinkling in his eyes. As soon as he did, nearly everyone at the table chuckled at his questions.
She sighs, saying, "Yes, I am one of the daughters of the family. If you ask me anything about cooking, don't. I'm a Ditech major. I'm the graphic designer of the org, I decide what each newspaper should appear as, I decide how the layout of the webpage is."
"Rika here is the one giving the organization a sense of style. She was the one who refurnished this building, you know?" Clary speaks up, clasping her hands together right after. "Now that we are all acquainted, I might as well begin the other half of our meeting."
Before she could even turn to the whiteboard, Code's phone suddenly rings. They all turn to give him looks, but he only raised his hand while saying, "Delivery's here."
"Oh! Perfect timing then." Clary nods, turning to the others. "Let's have dinner first, then we can go continue with the meeting."
With a clap of her hands, everyone disperses from the table. The others head downstairs to retrieve the food. He looks around, only to find that Clary has been staring at him. She smiles, curling a finger in his direction. Understanding it as a motion for him to go after her, he stands up.
She leads him towards the window, leaning against it. She lets out a sigh, asking, "I hope you are well acquainted with everyone now."
"I pretty much remember which nicknames match their faces, but I might forget.. I think." He admits, staring out the window as well.
"Sure is taxing to remember so much things, isn't it?" She chuckles, turning towards him. "What do you think of the team? They're not that bad, they're good friends if you ever need something other sectors. There's only one person from Agrante, which is Pol, but he wouldn't mind lending a hand."
"I'll take note of that." He mumbles, though he does think about her question. Letting out a hum, he answers, "They're not so bad, that other guy comments a lot, though."
"You mean Chen?" Clary says, a smile widening on her lips. He raises an eyebrow in question to this, but he does not ask anything. She chuckles, "He's just a dumbass. He may have a good grip of his role in the org but other than that, he's pretty much a dumbass."
"I could tell." He nods along, taking note of that. "Shura has a heavy accent though. Is she from Selavi?"
"She?" Clary looks up at him, blinking owlishly. Before he could react, she was already laughing, much to the surprise of the other members.
"What's that about, Clary?" Iris calls out, waving from the lounge area nearby.
"Nate thought Shura was a girl, that's all." Clary answers, trying to stifle her laughter. Turning to the guys heading up the stairs with their food, she calls out, "You hear that, Shura?"
"I'm a guy, g'ddamnit!" Shura exclaims, placing the paper bag of their dinner on the table. He scowls, turning to Nate, "J'st because you see a pr'tty face and a slend'r body doesn't mean I'm a g'rl!"
"I didn't mean to!" Nate apologises, though he couldn't help but smile at the hilarity of the situation. He ruffles his hair out of habit, saying, "I said your name but I accidentally pictured Rika in my mind instead."
"That's it! R'ka, you better dye your hair s'mething else!" Shura shouts, pointing at the girl by the computer. She lazily looks over to him as she raises one part of her headphones, eyes half lidded in disinterest.
"Get a better hairstyle, you idiot." She retorts, turning back to the computer. Their bickering continues, and Nate couldn't help but laugh.
"The team is pretty much a bunch of idiots in pretty important roles as media sharers." Clary says, stifling laughter under her hand. As the table was already set, she calls out, "Food is served, let's dig in, everyone!"
