Qiara nodded. She tried to calm down.
"Thank you, Maxwell," whispered Qiara. "I appreciate that."
Maxwell nodded. He watched Qiara patiently. He knew that Qiara was still shocked and afraid.
"I'll protect you," said Maxwell, his voice gentle. "No one will be able to touch you."
Qiara nodded. She trusted Maxwell.
They were silent for a moment. Maxwell tried to calm down.
"We have to figure out a way to get out of here," whispered Maxwell. "We can't stay hiding here forever."
Qiara nodded. "But how?" she asked, her voice still trembling.
"I'll find a way out," replied Maxwell. "We'll be safe."
Maxwell searched around the warehouse. The warehouse was dark and dusty. An old smell filled the air.
"Where's the exit?" asked Qiara.
"I don't know," replied Maxwell. "But there must be a way out."
