Jamey's Right To Action
James nodded, standing up to talk. "I would like to call Jamey Miller to the stand," James says as Jamey froze in Justin's lap, Justin holding the grip on him tighter.
Justin looked at Liam, though he only gave a small nod back. Justin sighing, let's go of the young boy, allowing Jamey to walk over to the chair.
"Ok, Mr. Miller," James starts, though Jamey cuts him off saying, "Just call me Jamey." Jamey smiled at the older man, James nodding his head.
"Ok, Jamey. First question, how did Mr. Wilson act when he first met you?" James asks, leaning on the wall closest to Jamey.
"Uh, well he was super nice. We went to a trampoline park and he let me try a Chimichanga. He's nice." Jamey says, his feet not being able to touch the ground on the high chair.
"Ok, what was he like when you called him?" James questions next, while Justin could feel the tension in the room.
"Well, he sounded like he was sleeping. But when he heard Papa and Dad arguing, he quickly came here." Jamey explains, smiling at Liam.
"I still don't know why you guys put him in handcuffs. You only put bad guys in handcuffs. You should put Dad in handcuffs." Jamey suggests nonchalantly, while some of the Jury had their mouths wide open.
"Why should we. Mr. Wilson and Mr. Parker tried to kill your Dad, we are just proving it." James says, annoyed at the kid already.
"No, they didn't. I called Liam, not Papa. Papa told me to call the police but I didn't listen. If it wasn't for Liam, Papa could be dead." Jamey says sadly, Justin looking down so that he couldn't see Eugene's face.
James nods somewhat annoyed by the kid's presence while Jamey smiles at the older male.
James rolled his eyes, walking back over to Eugene and the blond. "No further questions." He mumbles, slumping into his seat. James quietly talks to Eugene as the Judge looks at Matt, and he nods, standing up from his seat, and bringing the cane with him.
"Jamey, where did you get that scar from?" Matt asks, pointing to the scar on Jamey's left cheek. Jamey lightly touches the scar before sighing.
"Dad," Jamey says simply, maneuvering his legs so he sat cross-legged. "What happened?" Matt asks and Jamey holds his attention back on Matt.
"I was protecting Papa, like Iron Man," Jamey says, happily thinking about his comics.
Some of the Jury awe as Jamey smiles at the thought of comics. While, over in the Defense booth, Justin smiles to himself, as Liam leans in on Justin's ear.
"I'm more of a Spidey guy myself," Liam says and lightly hits him, Liam chuckling.
"So you were protecting Mr. Parker before Mr. Miller hit you?" Matt asks, trying to get the story right.
"No, he pushed me into some glass, but I'm ok now," Jamey says nodding at Matt.
"Ok, so, Jamey says that Mr. Miller pushed him, Mr. Parker and Mr. Wilson said the same things. That's three voices against one Mr. Miller." Matt says with a smirk, before going onto the next topic.
"So, Jamey. You said that you called Mr. Wilson, correct?" Jamey nods his head slightly, looking into Matt's black glasses.
"And Justin and Liam didn't try to bribe you of anything?" Matt asks and Jamey shakes his head. "But Dad didn't but I didn't fall for it," Jamey says, proud of himself.
Meaning, Jury," He starts turning towards the Jury booth.
"How would Jamey know to call Mr. Wilson if he didn't, A; know about any plans, B; didn't get told to call Mr. Wilson, and C; just did it on instinct," Matt says, holding up fingers for every letter.
"The Jury hums in agreement, understanding the idea Matthew put out. "We aren't changing the story, just showing the plot holes, no further questions," Matt says, walking back to his seat, Jamey following closely behind.
The Judge sighs fix his collar before leaning onto the wooden bench. "Ok, we will have a Recess so the Jury can decide." The judge says, hitting his hammer.
Justin sighs, finally able to breathe normally again thanks to the tension loosening its grip around his neck.
Justin, Liam, and Jamey stand up from their seats, Justin looking at Eric. All five of them in a little circle near where they previously sat.
"Ok, what're the chances of us winning?" Liam asks, looking at Matt. "Well, we did show most of the plot holes in the story," Matt says shrugging.
"Meaning?" Justin says, trying to get a better answer out of the two lawyers. "Meaning, because they had no evidence to convict you two, we're probably going to win," Eric explains as Jamey's smile grew.
"Really! Can we go to the park!" Jamey says, jumping up and down as Liam got a text.
The text reads, Remember, you only have twelve hours left to find and kill your target. Don't make me regret it.
Liam sighs, rubbing a hand through his hair. "I can't, how long is recess?" Liam asks, looking up at Eric.
"Um, about an hour, why?" Eric asks, mostly curious. "I have…..um work," Liam replies as Justin's heart sinks.
"Well, I and Jamey will go to the park while you go do that. Meet us back here by one, ok?" Justin says, looking into Liam's eyes.
He sighs, nodding his head. "Ok." He mumbles, quickly running out the door.
