Chapter 46 - A Different Route

The event definitely took the attention of the people to the fields of Gharasu. The discovery of the cattle-human, and the appearance of the beluaman showed the world who the true enemy was again. They discovered the steelfort project hidden from Humanity. Leaders gathered to address the issue regarding the Project.

Commander Stan Blackwells, accompanied by Anastasia and Karl arrived in the conference of leaders. Karl, the holder of the access key to the satellites around the world announced that he is siding with the Commander of Recon Korp. The move alongside the appearance of Commander Blackwell, supported by both human and etherian made the Leaders accept Commander Blackwells' status as one of the protectors of Aured City.

As for where Sanctum and Haven stands in the issue, they answered by showing their neutrality in the matter. The first request that Karl made was to take back Gharasu and the steelfort. The government moved to prove that they are accommodating. They took Gharasu in a single day. The flyers of Aured delivered the materials to the fields of Gharasu, letting a settlement form around it.

Commander Blackwells led the Etherians to clear the field of Gharasu. They removed the belua spires. Mopped the swamp of belua and found the Old Town of Gharasu defended by the old timers of Gharasu. The crawler-transporters surrounded the town forming a wall.

A new turning point has come. The world that they thought dead was alive. From the access key, they meet leaders beyond the mid-western continent. The Leaders who are from all over the world appeared before Aured's Government. The fort cities, the bastions seems to have suspected that there is still a living world. The cost of reaching them would put the Cities in danger. The flying forts would have to use massive resources. Not to mention that there are giant beluas who could punch a hole through the hulls of the flying carriers of the government.

The satellite key that came from Karl connected the world. The world started to learn of the cities beyond the Aured. The cities faced the threats of the world as well. It deepened the understanding that beyond the mid-western continent. There is a world still filled with the belua plague. From the eastern lands, there are cities that live on the desert where they fight beluas who have taken the form of those who dwell in the sands.

In the middle east of the world, there are floating cities. They fight the beluas who had adapted to the rising water level. Beyond the Midwest of Aured was the cities that are in the middle of the mountain. The cities of the west fight the belua in the grasslands. There are beluas who have adapted and have come stronger to fight them. South of the world was where the sunken islands are. Where settlements, not cities, fought the belua on the islands where they have turn into their homes.

It is the place where most of the beluas gathered. The world started to know that they are not alone. That humanity was alive and fighting. The bastion cities had always traveled far from Aured. Most of them would lost their contacts or killed by the packs of belua who are aggressive when it comes to other beings invading them. Nonetheless, something stirred the hearts of even the coldest leaders.

We are not alone. We are not the only one who have been fighting against this world. Humanity is alive and well. That is the truth. Other than that, there was something presented into the tables of the leaders to act as a present for them.

It was a pact that would allow them to use the technologies in that steelfort. The satellite showed that there are many steelfort bunkers hidden by the predecessors to safeguard humanity. A vault containing humanity's seeds and weaponries could become an advantage. To find these they need to find the steelfort.

The etherians were not leaderless as well. After all, the etherians were the ones who revealed the information to humanity. They could have taken all of the knowledge and even the weakest of etherian could kill them. However, they share a common humanity that allowed them to understand that there was a need to ally.

Of course, this pact was for gaining advantages and profits. It was not a convenient thing that they would agree because they share being human. Why would they not ally considering that, there was a great distance? Not only would that it be the most beneficial agreement. Aured City, the bastion of humanity had achieve levels of technology that these cities would love to get their hands on.

Aured City is in a place where the belua mother has lived. It has a high concentration of etherians compared to the rest of the cities that it was impossible to refute why they should not lead this newly formed pact. The Aured City etherians would pave a path for the cities with these new technologies they can improve upon.

Nonetheless, Sanctum and Haven knew that there was still factions inside the City that are willing to cause trouble for the sake of their own goals. Haven made its move with its Ghosts and throughout the week since the incident that happened on the area of Gharasu. The Ghost that came from Haven had annihilated the dissenters. Those who had strong forces such as the Decker's Cult had not been remove, but only a few of their cells remained in the city after the wipeout.

Ghosts that wielded the ether, but none of the qualities of the etherians appeared on the streets of Aured. It was as shocking as the news of the outside world, proving to the City of Aured that those who could slay the etherians are active and they belong to Haven.

If the etherians would make a mess, then the Ghosts of Haven would prove to them that they are vulnerable. If beluaman of the Sixth Layer of Ether was killed by a Ghost of Haven, then what would that entail for those who are below it?

The world was heading to a new route that Jakob that had no knowledge off. He wondered if the world's fate would still be the same after all of these new events. On the other hand, is the world going to correcting itself so that it could lead back to the path Jakob knows? He did not know. He could only watch the world again.
