As Afi left the tent, Argent looked at Nim. her eyes didn't have their natural glow, normally they were bright and determined. But now they were duller and harder to read. "Whats wrong?" she was obviously sad and had a tone of worry on her tone. "Armin is the biggest slave field that the Nemek have, they're forcing them to work, I could only save my skin." she said in a stuttering voice. "How did you know this? "When the Nemek captured us they tried getting information off Ignis, he refused. They laughed and told him that Armin is one of the most dangerous prisons on the planet. That we wouldn't last a month. I din't know what they were talking about until now." She said with tears forming in her eyes. "Argent, we have to save them! They're going to die." Argent looked at her bewildered. "No, it's not my fault, you came for me, I played hero and caused all this." She looked at Argent in the eyes with tears sparkling in her eyes. "But we can't go save them, not yet." Nim's sadness turned into rage in a matter of seconds. "What?" Argent looked at her with a serious look. "Nim, if we go alone we die, Afi can't come with us she has duties here." Nim's eves blazed filled with rage "You selfish idiot. They are your family, how dare you say that!" Argent was offended "What do you mean selfish, I'm trying to convince you to save both of our lives."
She gave a step back. "I risked my life to save you, Ignis, saved you from a certain death. And all you can think about is saving you own life." Argent frowned, "Nim I understand that you're angry and worried but-" Nim cut him off "No you don't get it, don't you understand that we are an endangered race. That our numbers don't get to a thousand?" Argent started to loose his cool and louder he stated "Nim we will die if we even get close to the fort. As you said, it's the most dangerous prison on Ysrumdel. We can't risk it.." Nim grew angrier "We are their only choice, their only hope!" Argent responded "and that's exactly why we can't die." Nim was fuming by this point. "What's your plan then? Get to your knees and plead the king that is loosing the war permission?" Argent was now just as irritated as his friend. "They can help us in Zakin, if we give the king a good deal he maybe can give us some help to fight back and rescue them!" Nim now looked rather scared and astonished, her eyes wide open and her mouth slightly opened and drew another step back. "Please Nim! We need Zakin's resources." Nim's expression darkened. "You want to leave your friends behind to lick the kings boots, do it! But don't expect my help."
With that said she ran away as quick as possible. Leaving Argentum bewildered and Angry, not at Nim, but himself. "Idiot" he murmured to himself.
He went to sleep, he grabbed a blanket from the hovercraft and set himself to sleep in the outside, since Nim wouldn't let him sleep in the vehicle with her. As he woke up next morning he noticed the Hovercraft was gone. He couldn't believe it, she went alone. "Afi! I need one of your lizards." the commander stepped out of her tent in full battle armor and chickled when she heard Argent "I thought you hated them." She immediately frowned when she saw Argentum's worried look. "It's okay you can have one." Argent ran to the stables where a soldier was riding an Uru. The Humjari looked at him with a smile and said "Morning" but Argent took his leg and threw him to the ground. He leaped over the animal and had a hard time controlling it. After he thought he understood how it worked he urged his mount to sprint towards the south, hoping he could find his hovercraft and Nim alive.
He rode all day, only stopping for the Uru to rest and drink some water. When nightfall came he was losing all hope, glimpses of his dream passed through his mind. Where he stepped on Nim's broken and bloody knives.
He tried hard to stop seeing those images until he saw a dark structure, surrounded by a huge wall. All black and gigantic. And in the distance a shining hovercraft escaped from a horde of Nemek vehicles. He got his hope back, Nim was alive, she was okay. But as he got closer he could see that the vehicle was burning. And a red figure trying to keep it working. he tried getting close until it blew up.
He jumped off the animal and sprinted to where the red figure was, it was Nim, covered in blood and with a broken leg. She was unconscious but alive. Argentum was angry. and he could feel the presence of that dark version of himself. He looked at the Nemek ships and soldiers stepped out. His breathing started getting heavier. He growled and embraced Nim's body. The soldiers were getting closer. Flashed his claws out and showed his sharp fangs. They were not getting out of this one.
