I was old enough to know that falling stars were actually just meteors falling down to the earth's atmosphere. Rocks floating in space. A few seconds of light in the sky.
From childhood until now, everytime I saw a shooting star-- which rarely happens because the city is too bright-- I am still wishing. Hoping but not expecting my wishes to come true.
I have never had a wish come true in my whole life. Except now, and it looks like it's in order.
" I'm so lucky to be alive," I whispered while looking up at the sky. My heart aches and my eyes heat up. And I just realized that, my tears are already dripping.
No shooting star passed by but I still closed my eyes for a moment and wished. Then I looked up again and looked at the stars.
I don't know how long I've been standing there. I just wishes for a miracle. And there he was, standing just few feet away from me.
