Prince Qui tried to keep on putting a pin on meeting Doctor Jinghua, but he knew that Tianshi Xue would grill him if he did not have anything to tell her that night. So, he dragged himself to the hospital and did his usual rounds. Most of the soldiers who got injured on the battlefield were on their way to recovery, and still, they filled the hospital beds.
"You finally showed up," said Doctor Jinghua, who had her back on him. "Nice of you to drop by."
He cleared his throat and eased himself through the doorway. "How did you know it was me?"
"Call it a sixth sense or something." Jinghua finally turned to him. Then she crossed her arms over her chest and nodded his way. "You've got something to tell me?"
Prince Qui pushed the door closed with a sigh. "I honestly do not know where to get started."
"Start with what you know."
He sat on the hospital bed and looked at his fingers. "I only know what they told me."
