Chapter 308 - Second-guessing

Nighttimes probably have to be the hardest for Tianshi Xue. It was in those quiet times that she could not avoid thinking about Prince Qui anymore.

Had he been able to catch up with the camp? Was he still alive? How was she supposed to know? Would it be like in those films wherein she would receive a letter telling her that they could not find his body but were sure that he was already dead?

"That has to be the worst," she told Ink, who was at the couch. It seemed like the soldier had taken a liking to it and dedicated herself to stay awake while Tianshi Xue slept.

"I'm not even going to disagree with you on that," she said, looking back at the console that she had been smashing her fingers on for the past hour or so. "It's the WORST!
