The morning came and Tianshi Xue could feel the calm before the storm. Or at least, she was trying her best to be calm because later, she would cry tears that would equate to all the waters of a storm.
She was on the bed as she watched Prince Qui get ready for the day. He was clad in all black that covered his arms and legs. "I thought that you would be more protected than that," she told him. "How am I supposed to not worry?"
Prince Qui smiled at her and handed her something slim. "I have armor if that is what you are worried about. But it's too hot to wear on a normal day."
Tianshi Xue looked at what was on her hands and found that it was the hairpin she had made for the prince. "I don't know how to tie another person's hair."
"It's alright," he said, sinking down on the floor in front of her. "I'll teach you."
