"Pillow talk?" he asked finally giving her a glance. "Talking to pillows?"
Tianshi Xue's features all set into a thin line. "Nothing like that!" she said. "It's talking with your eyes closed while you're in bed. There's a lot of researches that proved it could help you sleep better."
"Because of the boringness? But of course."
"Are you willing to try it?"
"No," he quickly answered. "There's nothing that would help me sleep better." Not even you, he almost added.
He remembered the first time that he had slept with her back at the shack and how sleep came to him willingly that night. He thought that it was because of her presence, but apparently, his system really wanted to rest that time too.
It was not like he was sleeping better when he was on the bed with her. Most nights, he would be staring at the while ceiling waiting for first signs of daybreak so he could start moving.
Tianshi Xue persisted. "You have to at least try."
