"This must be a miracle," said Prince Qui as he drank from a champagne glass. "You're not asking me to dance."
"You should be the one who is asking me to dance." They were seated on one of the tables just below where the emperor's throne was. The table was empty save for the two of them. Everyone else was on the dance floor.
"Do you want to dance?" he asked.
She shook her head. She was still feeling a bit tired from when she was left to dry under the sun. She knew that the sun was meant to give energy, but today, the sun sucked the energy out of her. One of the reasons why she was stuffing her face with rice cake with salted egg on the top.
"Say," she said, "since you won't tell me what you like in women, I'll tell you what I like in men."
"I'm not interested," answered the prince, keeping his eyes on the people dancing.
