Days passed and Tianshi Xue and Prince Qui were still trying to find some answers. They tried the ritual for two more times on different nights. Maybe the phase of the moon had something to do with it. Now, they locked the doors to keep intruders out.
A few days after the two servants found them, a lot of them took second looks. But each time they catch a servant gazing at them, Tianshi Xue and Prince Qui were only reminded by the fond memory.
"Of course they gossip," said Prince Qui. "Let them think what they want to think. It's probably boring in their quarters. Now they have something to talk about."
Tianshi Xue found it entertaining as well. She wondered what the people were saying about them. It would have been fun to know. She tried asking Howin once but the handmaidens slept in different quarters from the servants and Howin said she had not heard of the news.
"But what if it reaches the royals? The empresses?" she asked the prince.
