"You didn't tell me you're coming! I would've prepared something for you. Come in, come in." Igwan beckoned with short bony fingers.
Tianshi Xue was not sure if she should follow. Igwan did not even see her. Prince Qui slipped off his shoes and looked over his shoulders at her with a question: aren't you coming?
She rushed and slipped the laces from her handmaiden's shoes. It was a pair of sandals that tied around the ankles. No lights were on inside Igwan's house but her windows were open. It casted enough light that they everything was visible.
