The palace grounds as was said, was a museum before The Wars happened. In their effort to preserve its artistry, they added a layer of wall that would serve its protection. It was a 'Horse Only' travel area. The palace grounds were also always part of the field trips at school, but formidable guards were always littered around the palace like a human gate.
She thought that was where they were emerging. The tunnel was long and dark. That was why the sunlight almost blinded her when they emerged from a guard-protected gate.
"What?!" She looked around, could not believe that they were already outside of the walls. "There was an entrance in the city all along?"
The prince was looking at this rearview mirror. "Yes. It's a secret. Better to keep it to yourself."
