While the prince stared down at her, she knew that the only way that she could get away was tell the truth but be far away from it as possible—which was not that far.
"I told you already," she said like she was losing her patience but deep inside all her walls were crumbling. "I want to know the details of her death and possibly solve it if there's a chance."
His stare only get harder. Tianshi Xue was feeling sorry for whoever it was that had and should undergo through this kind of interrogation from the prince. "But you didn't tell me why you want to solve it."
"I just want to. Please stop this loop of questioning. That's the most that you can get out of me."
The prince gave her another look but said no more. But the look also told her that he was not yet done asking her about it. She took a deep breath anyway. At least she was safe for another day.
