Chapter 327 - A War That Never Started

There was no better way to explain how Prince Qui reacted than to say that he was dumbfounded. He had to be the most confused person in the lot. This was the first time that an enemy turned his back on him.

Of course, his men cheered, thinking that the worst part was over for the day and just thankful to have another 24 hours in their lives. For a moment, all of their shouts were deafening.

"Should we follow them?" asked another general when the last of The Traveling Nightmare was nowhere to be seen. 

"No," Prince Qui said like it should have been obvious. "Meet me back at the war room immediately." Then he pulled the reins of the horse and galloped, feeling like he had lost a war that never started.

"I don't understand!" said one of the generals as Prince Qui was bracing himself from turning the table upside down. "Why did they back out? Do they not want to fight?"
