Chapter 309 - The First Lesson

One of the first things that General Nive taught to Prince Qui was about being strong. Not physically wise.

"You must always be strong, Qui," said the general. It was after the forced archery lessons and the beginning of his excel in swordsmanship.

"I am always strong," said Prince Qui, swinging the blade on either side of him in fluid and swift motions.

They were alone in the training area, so the general did not feel the need to mask his words. "I see great potential in you."

"I already know that," Prince Qui said. "A lot of the kiss-asses already told me that they are going to vote that I be the next general."

General Nive examined Prince Qui's footing, how far where they from one another, and how they crossed and uncrossed. "Not all of them are trying to get on your good side."
