When dinner was over and done with, Tianshi Xue was ready to close the day. She had been very productive despite having been led astray by little things. The bedroom was empty when she got out of the shower, toweling her hair dry.
Tianshi Xue wrapped herself in a robe and walked with her soft tiny slippers to the library. She figured that it would be the only place where he would be tonight.
She had suggested earlier that they should take the night off from their readings—he was going to leave soon and she wanted to spend more time with him—but of course, he had declined her and she was right to look for him there.
Tianshi Xue found him on one of the couches near the stairs. An open book on top of his face, his form still. She made sure that she stepped loudly and made her presence known. She remembered that he did not react very well when she had grabbed his ankle when they were in the shack.
