Prince Xiaodan was waiting for everyone else to get settled in the dining area before he would enter. He was on the balcony, looking over the royal grounds. Without the continuous parties, it felt so empty. There were only a few people walking around, mostly staff bringing things from one place to another.
The princess and his younger brother had not been at breakfast. He was dying to know what they were doing but he did not want to ask. He did not want to appear to be that kind of person who was keeping tabs on people. It was not like he had a right.
But he HAD a right. If they were going to be speaking technically, his relationship with the princess was a formal one. They were bound to be married. Even though he made no official move or asked her if she would be his girlfriend or wife or anything like that, they had a mutual understanding.
