I was anxious about driving with Alex. I mean what was I supposed to say or what were we even going to talk about?

Okay act calm, you can do this, I encouraged myself.
"Bye guys." I told my parents and they replied something I didn't hear because of the sound of my heartbeat in my ears.
I got out and saw his car where it usually was when he was waiting for me.
I took one last deep breath and walked towards the car. He was looking for something in the car compartment so he didn't see me come and was surprised to hear the car door open suddenly.
"Oh good morning babygirl." He greeted with a smile after his initial surprise wore off as he sat straight again.
